Hello people, the "FC8-Fine" is my current project This is a passive cooled HTPC has kindly provided Streacom disposal. Thanks again for the beautiful may I rebuild the case. In the front is a display and a small gap to be milled. In the top of my logo smoke gray plexiglass will find its place. More to me is not yet occurred, but I will leave it plain. He is said to ausschauen after my editing. I'm always working on liver via webcam online LiveModding Center First Update: It checks the Case from out of the box ... Then it started already with the disassembly. The front is screwed on with three screws from the bottom. This is the beautiful display that will come in the front. In the front is smoke-gray acrylic glass. As you can see it glows well. Unfortunately I had to find it all a little too closely. The law, the board of the front panel. I hone therefore the board must be more than 2.5 mm. The final depth of which I have honed my sadly lacking a picture ... forgot to make When that was settled, I could begin to cut out the front. Perhaps this is tough stuff ... : D First few holes drilled ... ... and then cut with a jigsaw and filed nicely. Then I Ahbe the part given to a piece of Plexiglas, torn with the scriber, cut out and then filed. I'm pretty slow when filing sampled ran to the opening in the front. Then I was able to knock it in with a hammer. I have it but then again taken out, filed the edges gradually colored with a black marker. Then again, so pure. To fix the screen I've used t-nuts. ... But since had to have a UNC thread only times a 3mm thread cut on it. If everything is pressed pretty full. And between the display and some plexi is in the air, because the USB connectors disturb ... ... so I then glued some foam, which comes as no dust behind it. Here you see the reason I could not go up with the display. The upper one is the holder for LW and HDD. The press fit is everything, as any hands between LW top and front panel goes down. So it looks then finished. Now missing from the top or the logo. Let's see if I still what comes to mind. here's a video of the operation of the display http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBjejRw_pig Ubdate two: I've forgotten at the last update or something. I have provided a motherboard from Sapphire for the case. But it did not think it could be compatibility problems. Therefore, the fit is not now. I need a board for the case with FM1 base. And since there are only 2 in the list are the comparator, an Asus and Gigabyte . Here you can see quite nice because it does not work with the heatpipes. Well, I'm just looking at whether I get the Asus. Well, now wait. Do I have time over the logo produced, I thought to myself. So logo on printed paper ... ... with crepe tape and then taped the case painted wood glue ... ... the paper pasted on it ... ... cut drilled some holes and slots with the Flex purely as 7.5 mm holes have not been enough for the jigsaw blade. For cutting I have secured a thicker wood to the table and then to the plate. Then cut with a jigsaw ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7HlTYNSvJc The edge I have again blackened with a marker, then they are not visible through the Plexiglas. I then put the lid on the plexiglass and touched with a needle rice. Update three Fail from Logo Cut. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCQRencd1Ak&feature=g-u-u&context=G252c2c3FUAAAAAAAAAA"
So now I am again overcome to continue, then I in 10 min ONAIR ... http://www.complex-mods.de/index.php?opt ... d = 157 & Itemid = 51
So people, today is a somewhat major update since the last time I Failupdate still have it. Before I could cut out the logo from the Plexi I built me a more effective cooling for my scroll saw. In addition I have just stuck an air gun on it ... ... to the compressor and a pressure regulator which I then just a little turn on. So I'm not dirty at work, and a cooled saw blade. Now I have already removed the foil, as you can then cut precisely. However, one must, of course, better watch out come the pure no scratches. Finished cut. From the files, I then made a video because this photos bring nothing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCQRencd1Ak Well, the result was far from satisfactory ... Then I had to go too long then do not feel more in the basement ... then there was the Cebit ... Today I finally overcame me* to go on. To not have as much files I have the belt sander clamped to the table ... ... around so that was not a good idea. During the grinding, I thought to myself, what stinks because the way and why is the slower and slower. Well, has it worked a little in the table So the whole thing upside down and a time when circulation to the aluminum tube, and again. From the filing, there is again a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmW5sTLwFko After filing the logo I knocked with a hammer and block for 1/10mm 1/10mm pure. (Placed after scene since forgotten at work) finish... From the inside, I've stuck with body sealant. Must be dry when it is still around around cleaning be made. Then I have dealt with the BluRay drive. The sticker looks by each of the logo, of course, does not look too pretty, so I removed them only with the heat gun. Among them, however, there was a hole where you saw the spindle. Thus I came up with the idea that one could do so immediately visible. But first, yet quickly cut a few screws ... Then I made the drive for a cover made of Plexiglas. So, that's it again ... Now I am waiting for the hardware, then you go. *(my wife has kicked me in the butt and said finally make more)
Really like the top inlay. Also like how you can see the CD in the tray, that is neat! Can't wait to see this progress.
Thank you all Now I have a little update for you. And although I have lit the drive / logo. In addition I have Flex Lights truncated to the lid glued and soldered. Now I have to wait for the hardware
This thing is just gorgeous. You started off with an already beautiful case, but the subtle changes you've done make it that much more pretty. I have bookmarked that streamcom site in the hopes that one day I'll be able to buy one of these beauties to built my HTPC into it.
Thank you. Glad that you like my work Today I got a demo video of the drive for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_N2xejs_Dic
