i saw that Aria £399 one.

but considering original price range is £350-£429, i'd expect some wiggle room and price end up being £360 in a week or so.

(and im not around most of next week anyway, so have to wait and see)

For those upgrading from 580 to 680, the actually outlay will be closer to £100 if you sell your 580. That's a very reasonable upgrade IMO. :)

Given the cost price from manufacturer to etailer it won't be £360 in a week or so at all unless they feel the need to sell below cost.

Too much speculation on pricing from forums and review sites "predictions" leaves customers delusional.

    £230 sell 580 + £200 = £430

do tell how to get away with £100.

The cheap ones seems to me like errors on distributor pricing side. For example in Czech Republic, every card is in 505-530e range, but Gigabyte one is for 470e in many shops. When i look at UK pricing, Gigabyte is one of the most expensive ones...

We've updated the article as quickly as possible to reflect retail pricing; at £400 though, it's still a great card.

You should be able to sell a 580 for £250, and if the 680 will come down to roughly £350 then the outlay is roughly £100, maybe £150 at the very most.

I always go for the cheapest online price, which is currently the Palit at £399 (although only 1 in stock at the time of writing this reply, no surprises there), so assuming you get £250 for a 580 you're only putting out £150 for the topdog graphics card - still extremely good value for money. :D

    Great review

Can't wait for the 670 & 660Ti reviews, any idea when they'll start to surface?

Honestly, no. Nvidia has been very tight lipped other than saying "soon." It's clear how the architecture would scale might though GTX 670 = 7 SMs, GTX 560 Ti = 6 SMs. The die size is already small enough to be competitive at mid-range.

While an amazing top end card I still want to see the mid range ones at the same time, My flat mate has just gone for a Radeon 7870 as Nvidia has no mid range card to compete with them at the moment.

Shame really as I will probably wait for Nvidia's mid ranged cards as I beleive im due an upgrade as well as an SSD.
