I'm willing to bet a pretty penny that it's complete bollocks. They've got the 110 down as 512bit memory bus and is out now. When was that published???

@thetrashcanman: If you send your 680 to me, I know a way of getting you a GK110 card....................................................................................................

    I'll write GTX780 on it

@the_crapman: Where does it say GK110 is out now

What he posted is correct, the specs might be wrong, but there is GTX 685/780.
If you read my speculative post (which I also have some fun with it, for a fun read). Here: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=228268&highlight=GTX+670

I do explain that something is definitely strange when the Nvidia Control Panel detects the GTX 680 as the GTX 670 Ti, and that several components are missing on the graphic card board (normal and expected on lower end card, as they use the same circuit board for all models of the same series), but is NEVER the case on the GTX x80 cards).

My thinking was that there is no production problem for the GK110, but rather (but this isn't new, it's been done since day 1 by both companies) as a Plan B, in the case AMD releases a better card soon, so that they get to keep the crown position. If AMD knows Nvidia latest and greatest performance, then they can easily work more on their coming up reply against Nvidia offering, such a tweak it or overclock it, or simply not release it and continue on working on their new architecture. And the same for the reverse. It's kinda of a strategy game for both of these two company that they are playing. Also it keeps the competition really high, and exiting... (unlike AMD with Intel... or worst D-Link and Linksys.. yay (sarcastic "yay")), meaning innovation is always pushed to the max, and prices down. So we all win from this as well.

In a business point of view, why would Nvidia release their best card, when the lower end one, beast the crap of AMD best offering in the single GPU market. Simple.

:duh: yeh totally dropped the ball on that one. And after I laughed at the other guy taking feathers seriously:wallbash:
Be nice I've been hard at work all day. Testing the new F1 game really takes it out of you (waits for further torrent of abuse :worried:)

I do hope you're not talking about a console game?

By the way... just hit 1750mhz on my peltier and liquid chilled 560ti.

Try as hard as I might, I just can't reach 1800mhz with this crappy 560ti even at -30c.

I always seem to end up with crap hardware.

    1786mhz is just total ****.

Well it's THE F1 game, so will be on all formats. I'm on PC though and bagged myself a gaming rig with an i5 2500, 8gb ram and a 580. :D Pisses all over my pc at home! Lol

I bought F1 2011 recently because I was so impressed with the pirate version. If I like a game I buy it.

It's very responsive with wheel and pedals and it runs nicely with 3d glasses.

Your bagged gaming rig will be overclocked?

What a piece of crap 560Ti you got there. Just pathetic that you can't reach 1800MHz.

The fact that you can't even get a 900MHz increase over my bog-standard 560 just proves how terrible that Ti version is.

And don't even get my started on the frankly pathetic 2GHz 680...

Agree. Perhaps a 7990 will do better?

I laughed rather loudly in a very quiet pub when my friend playing it on 360 complained about the use of non in game footage in the advert for 2011. And even louder at the blank expession when I told him that's what he gets for playing it on a decrepid old sff pc with vastly inadequate cooling.

No it's a standard 2500, not a K. And my request to install afterburner was rigourously denied.:waah:

LOL. 360. What a joke. To be honest I thought the graphics looked **** even when the console was just released.

F1 2011 looks great on a modern PC.

I have recently installed a real dinosaur of a racing game. Richard Burns... Played it when it was new and loved it, now many years later, rather shocked to find it doesn't look bad at all even without mods especially when played with 3d glasses. All I have to do is edit the ini file to set the res to 1080.

The driving is even better now I have the new wheel and pedals.

I remember the day I got my Q6600. Loved it! Had been running an E8600 dual core which when overclocked used more than the 6600 overclocked to 3.6ghz. Max I got from the 6600 was 3.9ghz and 3.8ghz stable.

Sold the CPU overnight on ebay even thought it was old because it was such a good OC'er.
