I think I'll stick to 0-5 + veronica and revelations. Only two games outside the main RE series I liked were outbreak 1 and 2 and this game surely isn't outbreak.

Only liked the first 3 & code veronica, they wrecked the feel of the game when they went with silly over the shoulder cam with same bad controls  it worked very well for the cctv style it was originally brought as, shame because it was an awesome series, the new ones completely failed to make me jump out of my skin. :blah:

I'm not sure what the point of lavishing so much attention (I mean in general, not this site) on these franchises is when the hit ratio/pedigree becomes so poor. I mean sure Resident Evil is a recognised brand, but if you weighed up all the titles, and I mean all of them, there's fricking loads of them and I bet you won't find many of us could name them all, only a couple of them are properly solid, several are very average, and I'd bet the majority are straight up turkeys. And yet here we sit, talking about this like it's anything more than a refried zombie shooter.

My pet theory is that it's not consoles, or a lack of imagination holding back gaming, it's brands. If every game had to stand alone, without fanboys and nostalgia to back it up, then it would be a fairer market.
