From the door, with the monitor off, the only way I know my pc is on is by the coloured fans! I like a quiet pc...

I was going to do a build log / mod log as a fair bit has been altered with this build...

Its not finished yet, cabling to do on one side under neath + I have a new window for the front coming shortly

Rather happy with how it turned out.

One of the tightest loops I have put in a TJ07 but nothing on the A05, was an easy little loop and its turned out nicely... the 680s are beasts too clocking in at 1400+ core each

 

Just finished decorating about 2 hours ago, so it's not messy, but here's mine Excuse the crappy phone picture, was the easiest thing to hand.

R3 with black hdd trays & pci slot covers + a new PSU - Seasonic Platinum 1000W.


cables are mess atm, and they'll stay that way until i decide whether to mod the R3 to my liking or just buy the Corsair 550D.

 

No sound card - so what filth are you outputting to that lovely Cans amp?

The 550D looks nice, but it looks awful with the covers off...and let's be honest everybody is going to use it with the covers off. Ruins it for me

What chair is that? I need a new chair (the "leather" is peeling off of my current one) and that looks nice and comfy. Besides, we seem to have similar tastes in everything else (monitor, keyboard, case, headphones and amp are all similar/the same as what I have or have had in the past), so I might as well copy the rest of it as well

 

Did you paint the cages or buy them?

I have an r3 second hand with no cages, but cant find where to get any

Whilst redecorating this week, I moved it to behind my monitors for maximum effect

 

that's a Burson HA-160D, Headphone Amp, Pre-Amp & DAC , so no soundcard needed

if i do buy the 550D i'll keep the covers on , i'm trying to keep my pc as quiet as possible, or at least until the day i buy speakers

and thanks for the suggestion but i don't like the the look of the P280

Staples no longer sell the exact same chair but if you go here you'll find they've got a couple of chairs that look very similiar (Mayfair, Bellini, Northland, Piper, Skyline)

oh and btw what headphones did you buy ?

i've painted them.

 

What mouse mat is that? I love big mats to put under the whole of everything!

 

I've got some Beyerdynamic T1's right now and am very pleased with them as there isn't much they don't do well (one of them being heavy bass, but I'm not massively bothered by that). I'm thinking about getting some Denon D7000's to go with them but I'm not 100% sure at the moment.

I was actually very close to pulling the trigger on some LCD-2s I saw on Head-Fi but I backed out at the last moment; from the reviews I've read I'm pretty sure I would love the sound but the reports of bad comfort had me worried as I can wear headphones for very long periods, and am quite fussy when it comes to comfort.

 

It's a Boogie Bug XL which you can get from Scan if they ever get any stock and keep it for longer than 2 seconds.

Or if you are insane, you can get it from overclockers which do seem to have stock and it's cheaper.

 

Nice looking room Ficky - pretty much the same taste as myself, but you have a nicer audio setup than me at the moment, and I'm not a single monitor kinda guy

@ Minimal_Fuss - I'm really not a fan of using cases with the panels off. What is the fascination with doing this? I've even gone off case windows.
