And I guess kingpin has an EVGA 680...

I looked at a voltage mod 680 last night on google. Scary stuff even though I used to design and build sophisticated logic circuits.

Knowing what I'm like for liquid cooling I may buy a full cover block just for the hell of it.

Is that not just a copy of the image from this OC guide?.....

    http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-680-overclock-guide/2

And I thought you had waterblocks on them?

Stock heaven will join this page later today not expecting a huge difference

Still not worked out why combustion and heaven are unstable but games are.

82C on water? No. Just no. Unless you can prove that you're Hilbert Hagedoorn, kindly clear off. And by proof I mean post a photo of yourself striking the Usain Bolt pose, with a sign hung on your neck thar says "I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok".

Or a proper desktop screenshot with msi afterburner I the red skin, and this picture as you desktop background

Yeah, my max load temp with waterblocks is 48 degress. 82 is clearly on air. Also I'm afraid that image is quite clearly just lifted straight off guru3d.

    haeven at stock

    50 avr
    1262 score
    22min
    131 max

    all settings are same

    gpu is at stock

if you look closely where i paused monitering the gpu is clocking itself into 1100mhz range during benching, Thought it was ment to stop at 1058 or sumit close.

Not sure if my cpu is holding these scores back difficult to say unless i overclocked it some may bother with it later.

The overclocking has a benifit of 100 points in heaven benchmark thats kinda laughable makes me wonder if theres any performance to be had in the 680. Also makes me wonder if the 4gbs will be able to push the higher rez people are hoping for

me is done testing somebody with a more powerful cpu can maybe run the tests are similar settings.

    enjoy

I have some data from my own testing this morning...

Default 680 speed versus +175mhz core +500mhz vram (1260mhz/7000mhz) with full power target...

    Kombustor DX11

    Default 680: Min=114 Max=213 Avg=195

    OC 680: Min=165 Max=256 Avg=239

System power consumption at default was 278w avg (for PC excluding monitor I think).

Consumption with 680 at that OC was 332w average (an increase of 54 watts).

I don't know about you but I would say that increase is quite impressive and for me necessary especially since I play most games with 3d glasses at 1080.

All tests done at 1080 by the way.

Now I guess I will head over to specialtech and order that EK block....

Indeed. The core is stable at 188 also but I knocked it down a bit because of the 500mhz vram and temp.

Actually u got confused by fan speed versus temp. Temp wass 70c for the OC Kombustor and fan speed was ramped up to 84%. Core was 68c on the EVGA util at time of screenshot.

    :)

Nevertheless, even 70c is too high for me. Come to think of it even 50c is too high for me.

Been doing some more testing... Using MSI Kombustor DX11...

    +188 gpu core
    +590 vram

    168min, 260max, 243avg, load 129%, system watts 135.

Note to anyone using MSI Kombustor... It's important you close down the Kombustor control panel each time you stop the test and make changes to the clock speed.
