Yes, very good to see you back at it. Also nice to see you modding your brake. It's almost like getting a brand new brake with that newly cut-and-milled clamp, eh?

Only thing I'm wondering about: You already riveted the sidepanel together - aren't you going to have it anodized later? If yes, is everything in that panel made from aluminium? Otherwise you'll have to take it apart again, because eventual steel-parts will NOT care too good about the whole anodizing preocess, trust me. Or will you have the side panel glass blasted (with natural anodizing/oxidation taking place afterwards), or perhaps even painted somehow? In short: how are your plans for styling the exterior of this case?

Still remember the Cygnus X1 like it was yesterday. How you're doing Attila? Looks amazing, can't wait to see what's in store for us next.

Thanks for the replies everyone. :)

@nutman The side panels as you see them are really just frames/supports for a GRP skin. Some of the metal will be removed. ;) The exterior will be painted.

I'm half way through making the second side panel. When I've made some progress with the next step (the hinges), I'll post an update. :)

I've decided to update here because these darn fangled hinges are pretty tricky to work out. So best get an update out there, even if it is a small one. :)

The second side panel was made up....

All riveted except for the stainless screws along the bottom.

    And we have a pair.

Now apart from the hinges, this area across the top will take some figuring.:dremel:

But at least it's starting to resemble that 'fuzzy' image. :hehe:

    Back soon. ;)

That's some real nice work Attila, funny geometry I've only had a tiny taste of & it's so tricky to get how you want it, this is looking perfect though. rep
