You could use the ice cream to chill the kipper core, vram and mosfets.

I was gonna wait but I ended up ditching the 560Ti SLI to save energy.

Shockingly BF3 Ultra can bring even the 680 almost to it's knees at 1080. I only test using online play with 64 player maps and full servers. Damavand Peak is the one to test on because I have observed FPS dropping to 42 during busy moments. 42 may be ok for some but not for me and I can feel the effects of it. Possibly the fps drops even lower momentarily. What I found was that when I overclock the 680, the gameplay remains smoother even on this map during busy moments. Having said that it's still impressive that a single GPU can do what my SLI setup was doing and even outperform it when overclocked.

I voted Ice Cream, because it's shopping day :)

I'm a bigger fan of NVidia, mainly because their cards fold better. Thinking about getting a 680 next month, but I'm undecided yet (I might put the money toward an SR-X build, as even without overclocking they are very powerful).

Oh I wasn't aware of that, is this a new venture for the failing AMD?

My budget will only stretch to a 560ti but I can dream of the 680.

Although this is an unbiased poll, the results are shocking. Then again perhaps they're not shocking at all. I think it's clear at this point AMD should reduce the 7970 to about £250 in order to remain competitive.

Why? the GTX 680 isn't that much faster. £350 for a HD7970 is competitive with GTX 680 prices at the mo.

I voted Ice cream, as I can have 430 Magnums (More than a years supply of Ice cream) for a price of a GTX 680. :)

    430 magnums eh

the catch is, you wouldnt be able to fit them in one freezer

so you'd need a new freezer as well
