Some worrying reports of these cards only doing +50mhz OC due to a hardware bug. That is they run fine at +200mhz for the first hour or so then won't do more than 50 after that.

Use stock boxed drivers mate, if there are any issues with software bugs Ill get on it for you :)

(read 4GB phantom Bios / EVGA once they arrive)

Even the 2gb versions? I read the 4gb versions are fecked but I didn't know there were problems with 2gb as well.

I haven't noticed any issues with mine. :)

Apparently reports of severe artifacting even when playing something as basic as windows desktop ;)

I noticed a few but I put it down to atmospheric radiation.

So I guess I shoulda gone for the 3gb 580 instead.

I just realised this kind of thing should have been in my nVidia Coming Soon Thread

In anycase back on topic yeah....

Once TG has his 680's underwater I'm sure some awesome benchmarks will be made.

Actually I was browsing both threads and thought I'd posted this in the Coming Soon Thread :wallbash:

BTW why buy the third (EVGA) one if just to sell it? Was it a bargain?

    Or simply e-peen issues ;)))

Came a cross a problem earlier today, lost a couple of hrs trying to find what was causing this problem.

'I was having some sort of rendering issues. I've tried both the drivers on the CD and the latest ones from NV.

It seems more like a refresh issue, but only in 3D mode. Green artefacts. I've turned off all states of v-sync, so its not that.'

It was down to this on 1 card (Pic below), and the screw into my motherboard, not letting it fit flush in the slot. First time I have come across that before...
    Anyhow, all sorted now!

Hey simon, another game you could add to you benching portfolio is witcher 2.

Its a gpu thrasher and really does take a mean system to run it full whack at a high res.

That would be cool to know. I haven't seen a review site showing this. Oh and post a picture of the game graphical setting panel. Many review sites never say which setting they put just "high" or "ultra".. wtv that means, as games have a multitude of settings.

Gummy bears in the box... what thoughtful insight by Palit.

Still can't get over the ugly shroud... that gold and those angles are ridiculous. Still though... WANT! :jawdrop:
