Won an incentive at work and they have just posted to me £300 in amazon gift vouchers :D
So I am looking to blow it all on my rig.

    I am currently running

    i7-930
    Gigabyte X58A-UD3R Motherboard
    12GB Vengeance RAM
    ATi 6870
    M4 SSD

What do you think would be a worthy upgrade?

Eh, this is difficult. You've got a great rig there, and there's not much you can upgrade. A new CPU/Mobo seems silly to buy as Ivy Bridge is just around the corner, you have plenty of RAM, a great GPU and an SSD. The only reasonable advice I could give is either a better monitor (not sure what you have now) or a bigger SSD/another M4 for RAID 0.

If you have a 750W+ PSU and you game lots I would recommend a second HD 6870 for Crossfire. Or better yet, sell your current HD 6870 on Ebay and buy one of Nvidia's new GTX 6XX cards or an ATI HD7950.

Or if you can wait a few weeks (even though I have no idea of a release date) and you have no alliegence to AMD cards, you could see what the GTX 670 brings to the table?

That sapphire 7950 oc is a really good card. Was looking at getting one till I decided to save the money for a completely new rig.

May sound ridiculous but if I were you (with that rig) I would wait until you need to upgrade, assuming those vouchers don't expire any time soon.

Why would you get a 7970 for a 1080 screen? Spend the money on a bigger monitor :D

Listen to this fellow! Whether or not you like nVidia, you can only hope the release will drop AMD's prices. At least that's what I'm hoping ;)

Had my eye on a Dell 27" U2711H for a while.

Could sell my dell u2312 then to make up some of the cost

Would love to but wouldn't that mean I would also need a new GPU?

pimp it up with a few beer holders and ashtrays, and maybe a pie warmer. it will then be perfect pc.
