At what kinds of speeds? I've tried 5Ghz before now; Still 7.8. After some googlage; 2500K at 5.4Ghz apparently hit it, SR2 with a couple of Quads at 5Ghz also apparently got it, I'd need to push about 7.5 to be able to achieve it on this, then. I'd be very curious to see how it calculates this score, I'm wondering if it doesn't look at CPU name rather than actual performance. Apparently there's i7 970's that only score 7.7( 4.4Ghz, the one I saw), There's no way in all heaven my little FX8120 can touch one of those in reality.
My 2700K hit 7.9 at about 5.2/5.3 GHz, so it doesn't rely on 8 physical threads. It probably takes a lower frequency with 8 physical cores though, I haven't got an octo-core to test that.
Was a long time ago but I'm pretty sure I read it in an interview with one of the developers. Maybe that was enough to make the hyperthreaded 'cores' fast enough to raise the score. I'd retest to be sure, Although it might be to do with the CPU. I've found that even though Nvidia recommend a 570 for Arkham City with everything at it's highest, I can play it full detail with 30-60 fps if I overclock my CPU by a GHz.
OK now I'm upgraded to a Phenom II X6 1100T and 8gb corsair ram. CPU: 7.5 RAM: 7.5 Graphics: 7.3 Gaming Graphics: 7.3 Primary HDD: 7.3 ** ** this is a bit weird, I'm still using the same old ocz vertex! Sent from my CM9 Touchpad using Tapatalk
Faster SATA controller maybe? Due to the newer technology you've upgraded to. That would be my guess.
7.7 - I7 965x @ 4.2Ghz 7.9 - 12GB 1600Mhz 7.9 - 2 x 570 DCii 7.9 - 7.8 - Crucial M4 128 Was a little surprised at how high the cpu hit tbh.
Pretty sure I got about 7.5 for graphics with my old 9800GTX+'s in SLI Edit: just re ran my assessment as I thought 7.1 was a bit low for a 560TI. Went up to 7.9.
CPU 7.1 RAM 7.5 GPU 7.8 GPU Gaming 7.8 HDD 5.9 Good thing WEI isn't a proper benchmarking tool, my cpu would be bottlenecking me
Yeah i thought it was a bit odd, just re ran it Old scores CPU 7.6 RAM 7.6 GPU 7.4 GPU Gaming 7.4 HDD 7.5 New CPU 7.6 RAM 7.6 GPU 7.9 GPU Gaming 7.9 HDD 7.5 Thats more like it!
