Hey guys I have £200 - £300 to spend on my new graphics card, but I don't know whether to get a water cooled one and overclock it or just get a better air cooled one. I already have my watercooling loop installed and it can easily handle a graphics card in it, but would it be worth it to spend less on the card itself?
You'd want a second hand GTX580 in that price range, and you should have plenty left over for a nice water block too.
Get a more powerful GPU and then buy waterblock for it later rather than putting some of the money into waterblock now.
best graphics card for the money I bought an MSI Twin Frozr 3 6970 with 2 games for a little over £200 and I love it. All the power you need and real silent.
If you already have a nice loop installed id defo get a nice card with a view to getting a block for it. If it has to be new then I would wait for the 660/670 also. If 2nd hand then a 480GTX is stupid value at the momment as are 580GTX's.
7850 appears to be the leading king of good value right now. Until the 6xx series cards come out though?
