I agree green isn't the first colour that springs to mind when sleeving, but somethings just work (when they shouldn't) like Kawasaki green, dunno why but it just works.

I just took a gander at that pick and yeah it does look like the cables go into the SSD, thank god that SSD don't wire up like that....sheeesh more sleeving

I've seen several people on here running the loop in parallel through the graphics cards (specifically Kier springs to mind). From what I've read the temperatures between the cards stay more even this way, because each card gets a cool supply rather than the heat from one being passed on to the other and so on.

Yeah I must admit, I have looked at Kiers builds, one was in the EK Waterblocks gallery or it might have been one of L3ps, Very tidy set up and the explanation you have given sums up what I was trying to say, so thanks for that. I'm looking forward to actually running it and seeing the temps myself.

Final assembly

Hi it's been a while since my last update, but I've been a lil busy work commitments ect...
I have tested my blocks for leaks and flushed them through, finished the sleeving, also the led sequencer arrived, soldering complete and have started the final assembly.

I have put together a lil animation of the build so far... but I have run into a problem with my power supply (which may need replacing...yup a waste of sleeving I know) but it does need doing so any way here's the lil vid. I hope you like it

I was wondering what had happened to you. No usual flood of subscription update thingys. Sux bout the PSU. Hope that it will pull through in the end and awesome vid!
Can't you salvage the sleeving from the current PSU and slap it onto a new if it comes to that?

Yeah I have been busy and it's impossible to maintain the amount of updates I was doing. The psu isn't a problem (the system was tested with a spare) I'm picking one up in a few hours. As for the sleeving that could possibly go on the back burner for a while

Cheers Frood, those doors are pretty important. It'd be impossible to assemble without them. They do look good in the vid

The psu is a fairly minor thing and easily replaced, It's a good job I tested it before assembling the rest of the build, which should be posted pretty soon

 

Ouch, I seemed to miss the detail of the faulty PSU, would you not be able to take the sleeving off it to re-use?.

Yeah I will eventually do that, I'm not one for throwing stuff away (much to the annoyance of the other half)
Here's the replacement, some of the standard cables are quite tidy and do look better than what I had done, others are not so pretty, so I will come back to that, but for now ...onwards.
