I really should sort out my desk. Will post up pictures when i get around to it.

Putting the Tower on the floor saves so much space.

Here's my setup - getting quite proud now (still got a little way to go to match up to others however!)

U2410 as main monitor flanked by two newly bought Dell 2001FP (only 70£ in total for both!)

Now I'm just lusting for a GTX 670 for some surround screen cheesecake.

It was the danish version of eBay called "Den Blå Avis" which is actually owned by eBay. I found it a nice bargain too - the thing that will most likely go wrong with them si the power supply, and as that is a seperate unit I can repair/exchange it without having to replace the monitor.

Nope, I was talking about Picarros room and your Saitek Eclipse/Cyborg V5 keyboard - I have three modified Eclipses and a Cyborg V5 myself :D

Longweight - which keyboard are you using at the moment, and where did you order your zinc caps from? I know it's probably in the mech keyboards thread but I haven't read it lately! Your orange modifier keys look great :thumb:

Ah - confused me! :duh: Never tried the original Eclipse but very happy with the V5 :D I'd love a red backlit mechanical but can't afford it (or find many options for that matter) so I'll stick with this for now.

Exactly that - just boxes... When I moved into this room and had to put my comp on the carpet I found the PSU started acting as a 650w hoover (and the bottom case fan to some extent) and, even with the dust filters on the bottom of my case, it was getting dusty really quickly so I knocked together two wooden boxes and sprayed them black. Really seems to have helped (it helps that I can now hoover under the computer without lifting it up first :thumb:)

I built a whole wood platform for mine, but two boxes seems like a much better idea.

Plus I could build poundland granite chopping boards into them for some lovely vibration killing!

I had thought of the same but two boxes used less wood (= cheaper :thumb:). It may also allow more airflow... :worried: (mostly cheaper)

I should get around to doing something similar myself. my Raven is about four inches longer than the desk, enough that the feet would hang off the edges if centered on it, so I'd rather not put it on the desk. (Plus sacrifice valuable space there) But on the flipside; my current method of putting it on the Raven's box is only doomed to Failure, the entire box is slowly crumpling beneath the weight.

mine is sitting on a 2 drawer metal filing cabinet with a red dropcloth draped over it. the arrangement hides the ugly filing cabinet, elevates my computer, and doesnt look terrible to boot :D
