Does that Nova *really* produce 1,200hp? Maybe I don't know much about cars, but that seems a bit ridiculous. The Bugatti Veyron prodcues 1,001-hp, has 8 inter-coolers and costs $1.5million. So it doesn't make all that much sense to me that a Nova can be retro-fitted and produce 1,200hp without ripping itself to pieces or setting itself on fire.

It's easy to produce massive power from large displacement and with turbochargers. All you need is a large engine, and large turbos, and a large radiator (and some tuning). This particular machine has twin superchargers, not turbos, and water-to-air-intercoolers so there's no problem generating the power.

The difference between the Bugatti and this thing is in everything else.
    1. Primarily, the Bugatti is a super car that handles; this thing is really a dragster for the street and it's clearly an effort to make it turn corners.
    2. I wouldn't be surprised if this thing is running a drag car gearbox (one of the few things that can handle that sort of power) which are agricultural (THREE forward speeds!). The Bug, meanwhile, is running a bespoke gearbox from Ricardo.
    3. When he's talking about burning the tyres down, that's exactly the sort of thing the Bugatti wants to avoid (firstly because a set of tyres for the Bug is £24,000 and you have to buy a new set of WHEELS every four tyre changes) because burnouts equal wasted power and slower starts.
    4. You can hear him having to raise his voice over the roar of the engine; in the Bug you can essentially hear your watch ticking.
    5. This car needs 'race fuel' (probably 100 octane) to run properly; the Bugatti (being a much more modern design) can automatically advance and retard its timing to produce its power on even the horrible 89-octane (IIRC) ooze that Americans have the audacity to call 'gas'.
    6. The car also needs a socking great paddling pool in the boot to cool its intercoolers; not very Bugatti, hmm?

In conclusion, it's comparatively very easy to build an engine with massive power and shoehorn it into a street car body. It is comparatively VERY, VERY HARD to make a car that can handle the massive power in all conditions, all the time, every time.

I don't doubt that, the burger (meat) in particular looks very unappetising.

Still, it is a pretty cool product.

Easy. It's nt even difficult to get 1200 bhp from a LS block. You kids watch way too much top gear.. Lol.

Stop listening to Clarkson... Muscle cars rock.
