When you say "creating" do you mean the general look or actually covering everything down to the electronics to where an actual working product can be manufactured?

You are going to get two totally different lists of recommended software depending on your answer...

Been insanely busy with my a levels recently and haven't had time to produce any renders! Fortunately I found some time in my easter holidays to blow the dust off of 3ds and indigo and cracked on with some work which has been floating around my mind for a while :geek:
I've noticed with HDR environments that they produce very even lighting from all directions but there are pretty much no shadows, so I have been editing my HDR maps and increasing the contrast between the exposure from the sun and the sky to give an even more realistic light setup :D Still not quite done yet but getting the hang of it, the shadows are quite a funny colour and this is the only decent result I have but expect more in the next few weeks

Anddddd, here is a render i forgot to post back from january,

lastly, the obligatory greeble render

    peace out!

I thought about doing that when you suggested it, but couldn't bring myself to done any more frame by frame animation in WLMM, I did edit it a little though, with an added load screen.

Nope, it's an old adjustable capacitor, something I found in my dads shack so decided to model it, here is the finished render!

I'd feel silly giving you the whole explanation as you seem to have a good understanding of the 3d environment, probably way better than me. It's made in C4D though, which part were you referring to? I used cloners, sound effectors, plain effectors, step effectors, linear fallofs, and C4D's sound effector to sync movement to the music.

I'm working on V2 and V3 but I'm also working to complete the After Effects compositing and give it a more polished look.

Did you like it? Thanks for the response.

Very interested in feedback. They might not be live right away but they will be by the morning.

They go up to 720P HD by the way. watch em that way, took extra to render ;P

I like the first, but the 2nd doesn't quite seem to fit properly with the music like the previous ones did(although it does, since there's no way mograph would screw up). Maybe the effect isn't as pronounced.

I'd make both a bit brighter as well.

    Good work overall.:thumb:

Thanks for the reply tangster. I have also noticed that the second one is not as pronounced to the actions of the music as the other. They're actually the same render, just different compositing.. I guess I couldn't resist the geometric fading in of the first one.
