Windows Diablo 3

I told them having just been hacked I had no intention of sending my passport or drivers licence over the internet.

I can't believe they have a policy to ask for that information, its just dangerous.

 

Still on hold for the second time...

Debating if I should just create a new battlenet account from a different email just for Diablo and attempt to merge them (if this is possible) later when it dies down a bit!

Opinions?

 

If they are anything like Steam, I doubt you'll be able to merge them. Is there anything of actual value on your old account anyway?

 

Nah not really, just my WoW account which has been inactive for a 2-3 years at least and I can't really seem myself playing it again...

I've made a new one now anyway (far easier then messing around with their CS) and will look into it later...

Time to dip my toes!

 

You can merge old accounts with new Battle.net accounts.

I'm pretty sure I did.

I had an old account that I'd used to trial WoW with, which I thought was a battle.net account. Turned out it wasn't, so I created one, and there's the option to add WoW accounts to it.

Log into your battle.net account on the website, then go to 'Account'. On the right hand side there's a link 'Merge WoW accounts'.

 

Ljs - want a wow scroll of resurection? free copy of cata , instant boost to level 80 and starter level 80 gear?

and Lance - they ask for teh information so they have another way to verify your account , as without it , all it would take is someone who knew your details to steal your account....

 

all i had to do was give my Starcraft 2 key as i had changed emails since using the account and couldn't remember the old one didn't require any authentication at all

 

I don't want to hijack the thread but I just want to explain myself. My issue was that if I was emailing my passport image then my passport would also be sitting on my Hotmail which is how blizzard think they got into my account, and with my passport they could do so much more than just steal my wow account.

Has anyone else been playing today? How are the servers coming along?

Been playing all day... just hit level 30 and went to Act 2... It's been fine for me.

 

They have been fine for me both SP and CO-OP.

Interesting! I would take you up on that offer, but I can't really see myself ever reactivating my WoW account...

Do you have to save your character? Been playing for an hour and quit the game to go make my kids their tea. When I relaunched it's asking me to make another character. Is this normal - I don't remember having to specifically save in the beta.

 

Dont know if this is a bug but when i log in i cant see my toon until i please the select player buton

 

Battle.net outage, can't login.. I went to make dinner and left it too long, no I'm ****ed I guess..

 

BNet is being hammaered - got login issue on SC2

 

Ordered two copies from Amazon, one was attempted delivery today (which I was expecting, and will collect tomorrow), and the other shipped late and won't be here until tomorrow either. Bit disappointed Amazon didn't handle this too well and get both out at the same time, but equally makes no difference to me in the end.

 

Lvl 35 barbarian about to start act2 nm. I must say im plesantly suprised so far with how d3 has turned out. Although however hard inferno may be i think it will be short lived fun untill pvp is sorted. Only gripe i have with the game really is only 4 players so it just dosnt feel social compared to d2.
