I liked it a LOT more after I had played it some more. My last post I wasn't too impressed, but most of that changed. A big difference was getting to grips with the map. At first I was just running around and following people and that was a big mistake. Once you use the map and go from quest area to quest area (it shows what level its for too), it started becoming a lot more fun and slick. I could just take my time and do my own thing, and none of the quests took longer than about 5 minutes, so it's basically just an excuse to fight new creatures before you move on. The combat is so much fun, it makes the whole thing worthwhile. I never felt for a second like I was grinding, unlike other games. It's a shame there was no dungeons or instances to do with groups in the beta. I think if they have some good stuff like that, then I'm going to love the game.
The first dungeon is level 30+. So you have to level abit first but I guess it's to make sure you're used to the game since the dungeons are meant to be the hard content. You do the dungeons in story mode first, then after that you unlock explore mode which means you have 4 paths to take in the dungeon which all branch into more paths aswell but it's alot harder than story mode. If that's your thing.
armored feathers I guess.. it could have been better though- I kind of wish I'd skipped it and did some more exploring around.. you check out that cave in the middle of the lake of krait? wanted to go down there but the krait were all on my backside aye not even sure I can make the next beta.. we just got a new house stuff will be in boxes.. check out this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CyqGJHTjes
I'll post mine tomorrow, I found the Wizard's Tower in Kessex Peak. Looks from the model to be possibly explorable.
hmm went down to the bottom to see if I could solo the sea witch.. she was wearing underwear.. there was two guys with their butts all over the cave too- got one hit so couldn't investigate if they were getting married or what
Got a LOT of stuttering during the stress test today. Enough to make me sick. We're gonna have to upgrade the wife's computer, this is too good for her to not be able to play maxed out. Can't decide if I'll be primarily Norn or human. Both are pretty fun.
I've never been in such awe of an MMO before. It cannot launch soon enough for me. For stress test time I just went wondering around various places. Lions Arch was pretty snappy considering the amount of people I saw there but I'm buggered if I can find the last two POI's lol. Colour me impressed NCSoft
One is marked on the map as the Crow's Nest though it is a pig to get to and only shown on the map if you move it up one level. The other is super secret and not marked until you find it, was a great feeling when I did though.
