Turbo goes on top with the exhaust downpipe coming off the back of the turbo, then the external wastegate goes down the botton

Oh nice :) I've always been jealous that the USDM versions didn't get the sr20.

That's a bit gorgeous, and I'm not usually keen on mercs! What's under it?

It's a c63 as alastor said. Lease just ran out on the old one so upgrading.

I was never a huge fan of mercs, but early 2000s they really stepped up their game and I can't see myself going to any other vehicle now. Mine has been incredible for the time I've had it, my dad had an S class, mum has the A and bro has a CLC. They have all been excellent cars.

I've had a grey and a black c63 this time was feeling a bit different so went with white. I still can't shake my jap car styling :)

speaking of benzes...i just learned this week how terrible an investment a mercedes is, at least stateside.

on wednesday we got a 2003 S500 into the shop. just for giggles i looked up the MSRP and current book value of the car: $81,000 new and, get this, $13,000 as it sits today! thats a $68,000 depreciation in less than 10 years! insanity!

by comparison, a 2005 cadillac STS was $47,000 new and books for the same price as the benz today. plus the caddy has more horsepower, more available safety features, and GOBS more available and standard interior features.

i know your paying for the name but that just seems crazy to me. /minirant

P.S. lysaer, i wasnt targeting you or saying you made a poor purchase. it is a beautiful car and i have no idea what the market is like in the UK. it just reminded me and i wanted to share what i learned :D

lysaer said he's on a lease. I.e. the smart choice. I'm looking at doing it myself in fact.

Yeah I am on a lease, I can write of some expense through my business and also if I ever have a problem with the car it just goes back to Mercedes and gets fixed, while I get another loaner.

All I have to worry about is motion lotion, tyres and a service, I blew the head up on the current c63, would of cost me in the region of 20grand to fix, but I just took it to Mercedes, 4 days later bam a new head, all the while they kept me in another c63 from the dealership.

I doubt I would ever buy the car outright, I am happy with my Nissan and rx7.

Leasing is the way to go tbh! I get to trade my 118i in after 9 months and pick a new BMW or Mini.

Traded in My 2007 Impala SS. Had it for about 20 months. Had some issues, ran out of power train warranty, for about $80 more a month, and 2 years longer on my loan I could afford this, a 2011 Camaro 2LT with 12,700 miles. Low miles, bumper to bumper warranty & powertrain warranty. No brainer to be cruising in my dream car. I'd love to own an SS trim level, but this is more practical and affordable. It's a fantastic car! I picked it up May 2nd.

    Which engine?

I'm looking for some advice as well; how does 125,000 miles sound on a 2002 1.4 Seat Leon? It did 76k in the first 3yrs, but below average annual mileage since then. I'm thinking company car, so possibly serviced well?

That Camaro is nice and all, but an auto-box.. You might as well run DOS on your i7 2600k. With that much power you need a proper manual gearbox to force the most torgue out of it.
