I know what you mean. CS:S was at its best when they still had the turtle headed T's. I liked it when there was only one player model for each team, now they just all look the same from a distance.
It just feels like a CS:S re-skin to me! And not a good one at that. Bunch of new weapons and thats about it. I had a soft spot for CS:S, it reliable, like an old friend, but this new version just....... isn't necessary??? (There i said it!) What really grinds my gears is that Valve could be diverting their attention to more pressing matters...... *Cough* EP3 *Cough*
It's a joke is what it is it's a bad mesh of new post orange box CS:S and CS 1.6 The crosshair scaling is a joke at anything other than 4:3 resolutions The weapon models make the guns look like toys parents give there kids that make that stupid noise when the trigger is pulled The weapon models look like they come from the old clan of the dead goat forums (I know they are using a model and skin for the AK and Deagle from a guy called wannabe it's and update to the cs:s Deagle and AK models with slightly burnished finishing Sound is another problem 5.1 type headphones are punished as it give bad awareness Also the map editor needs to be stabbed in the eye with a sharpened black mamba ***** And the list goes on with to many to explain
The CS:GO Beta is pretty fun tbh, plays alot like C:SS (not sure on how much you can say and all) But in general tis a good game.. likely wont be day 1 purchase however due to monies etc
It doesn't play anything like source m4 in source was never as bad as it is in GO the removal of the suppressor element when all gunshots give position on the mini map a stupid add in for The COD KIDDIES this game is trying to attract also Valve has made a pretty big deal out of the whole Developed with top players and personalities from the community whoever they were I hope they are ashamed of how their input turned a once promising concept into this sorry excuse for a console port The idea of pc players and console players on same servers was a poor choice of starting point everybody knows keyboard + mouse is faster than a joypad
Don't expect it to be the same game as CS:S. Mainly because it's not. I think it's good that they're making something (slightly) fresh. I can't find a decent CS:S server anymore that's not playing D2, or Office or some zombie/wc3 ****.
