OK. One last thing for the sake of closure: Who's responsible for that last tag? Sirocco?

not me. I freeball whilst modding . . .while wearing a kilt . . . occasional sparks from metal cutting up the kilt make the experience rather memorable.

This is before I purchased my kilt

Also very glad someone from the modding community won this project, and can not wait to see it in its new home.

Package delivered to the mailroom signed by a MOHAMED.

Just a note: when you open the box - the mod should NOT look like this

Congrats Mach and well done all, esp Bill, Darth, Cheaps and AnG3L for their hard work. Probably the best thing to have happened in the modding community imho. **sheds tear**

Hahah, I know, Richard. Just tryin' to make it a little hot under the collar to see if it would drum up some uncomfortable laughs, lol.

...And there ya go! :hehe: Ahhhh, off-color humor rocks.

Enjoy that thing, Alvin! I'm sure you're already licking it as we speak.

Couldn't have put it better meself, Antony!

Thanks Combatus & E.E.L, licking photos to follow.

It finally arrived in what I can only describe as a refrigerator box

Nice to see no bodies or kilt upskirt pictures....

Liking the accessories, especially the headset.

Heh, I'll keep that in mind :)

    Suh-weet!

Not your father's fractal case :)

Time to check out the insides.... :eyebrow:

Erm, why did an extra nut just fallout!? :eeek:

    [Frantic panel removing]

Looks like the reservoir mount vibrated loose. Whew, fortunately not completely. (You can see the top two nuts and spacers are missing.)

After a little scrounging for the loose hardware, I bolted it back in place. :dremel: Looks like the only thing that was damaged was the aluminum heatsink on the ram.

Where the reservoir was resting on the video card....

Looks ok too, the pcb wasn't populated where it was resting.

Every else looks good. No cheesecake shots yet, I'm going to go slow until I grab a can of compressed air tomorrow and blow out any metal filings before I fire it up.

Any other suggestions before I give it a go? ;) More tomorrow

damn I should have put some locktite on the knurled head nuts. That res is an absolute beast - If the Insatpack was not in there the gpu and mobo would have been scrambled. You should keep the packing to reuse if you ship it or take it to events.

Oh smexy unboxing pic's I love you so :D

If it's possible, you may wish to simply remove the heat-spreaders from the ram, RAM run's cool and stock spreaders usually hurt more than they help.

Scary, am I glad a modder bought this & the bottom fixing held on, :dremel::clap: that could have been much worse, a none modder who buys pre-assembled systems might have been freaking out just a bit. :eeek:

Modding hands like Mach's are very capable though so I feel at ease. :)
