I fell prey to the mech keyboards couple months ago. Just joined the forums tonight. I finally talked my wife into letting me get The Das Keyboard. I got the silent and blank model. It is a little intimidating sitting down at a keyboard and the only thing on it is the brand name. Hehe
I'll have to differ there Other brands provide quality and performance, Logitech is good but by no means the end of the story!
What brand is higher quality than Logitech? I can understand that other brands offer things like snipin buttons, higher DPI etc but I haven't ever used a better quality mouse than a Logitech. Oh and 5,000th post!
Well done mate! good use of a 5000th post As for mouse quality, the Logitech G400 I tried was pretty average at best. But I assume the higher models are of a better build quality. Anyways, to name a few brands that make superb quality mice, Steelseries, Zowie... just trying to think through all the mice I've tried that blew me away in quality.. I'm sure more will turn up Don't want to comment on mice I haven't personally tried though!
I deviated from Logitech about a year ago and bought a Roccat Kone+. It was just awful, felt so cheap in my hand! So then I tried the RAT7, again, felt pretty cheap and the adjustment wasn't good enough for me. The thumb buttons weren't in the right place once I had extended the palm rest back and the software was just God damn awful. Finally I bought a G700 and it is just amazing
Roccat and the Cyborg rat are well known for shoddy build quality though! I think you my friend, have had a couple of bad experiences The G700 is really heavy so it gets a great quality feel just from that too
