yeah, to do this "spines" i've get some inspiration from many cases and mods!

I have get 3 steel plates whit 0.8mm of depth! I have choise this depth beacause i'm going to do some work on they!



the first plate is for the back of the case.... Draw the cuts!

thanks crapman.... cutting wheels aren't particulary suitable for little engraving but the files resolve this problem!

Love scratchbuilds, they constantly inspire me to try one myself one day. ATM my wallet and my neighbours wouldn't appreciate me turning the apartment into a mod-shop.

Those spines make me think of an old russian train, dunno why. Like it

your cuts are clean, very good !

 

yeah, the scratch builds in my opinion are the best choice of modding because you can set all meausure without case limits... so, scratch build sometimes are more expensive than case modding but by this you can have more satisfactions!

yes, this case is inspired to predator and raven case

Sleeving

now i'm going to do sleeving!

no nils sleeving but paracord!!



the victim of sleeving naughty is an enermax revolution 1050w



my purpose is to avoid the heatshrink ... for this i'm hoing to melt the paracord sleeve on the cable... that's the result! The melted paracord it's very strong but difficult to spread on the cable!



i'm going to do this process on 24 cables...







and on the 6 vga pin...







And that's all now!!

yes the enermax cable are more strengt than other PSU... but in my opinion this is better because the cable "stay together"

Thanks malobee, that's right, i work in a small balcony, 70 cm of width and i can't work perfectly but i try to settle down

 

so, sorry guys for my another absence!

In this time i've worked on the other side panel, another steel panel!



after the meausuring time i proceed with the cutting!



removing the tape... so the glue is still here



diluent time



now the sheet is clean!





and next i use sandpaper and water...





don't use diluent in plastic cup... that's the result

 

after the cleaning i proceed with the real work....

but before i bought some things!



at the first i'm going to create some holes to fix the panel at the frame!



and this is what i want to do!



This drawing is purely aesthetic...

and now start to cut!
