Xlog, that is amazing! What was the setup? Natural light? I have yet more planes. This dude blew a tire on touchdown... Blowout by angad84, on Flickr So while they jacked the plane up and swapped wheels, they put on a semi-impromptu tactical assault demo involving loads of helicopters. No photos please by George.Yoda, on Flickr Prom Night by George.Yoda, on Flickr More playing around in lightroom, my brother about to leave for his Year 11 Prom.
Love the second one, a slightly lower angle would have picked his head out slightly better I think but the backlighting's great as it is too! Shame about the pole thing, it distracts from the frame of the foliage a bit...
Thanks, it was an impulse shot, he was talking to my dad (who is behind the greenery to the left) and my mum had just finished helping him with his bowtie I think (she was on the right, cropped her out) I then played around with the exposure, blacks and whites etc until I liked it a bit more, nothing methodical really I may have a go in photoshop or something later to try and edit out the pole, don't think lightroom can do that kinda stuff? Original shot: Edit: Looking at them now, I quite like the softer look of the original, I never now how to edit and then what to upload! Ah well, still happy with it
This is fantastic! Lovely photo. Just looked at this thread and noticed how many planes there are, right after having just created a thread about them!
Seeing the original I appreciate what you did with it even more, definitely prefer the edited. Thought for a second I maybe liked it better uncropped but no I think you did good! And yeah you'd need photoshop for the pole and it would probably be a giant pain in the ass to edit out. I haven't had anything up for a while, been trying to resist the urge to snap and just leave the camera on video but the sunset was awesome a few nights ago, managed to grab this: IMG_3298 by jpb814, on Flickr

A photo that I took way back in April 2011, I quite like it. No post-processing as is the case with pretty much all of my photos. My Photo by Sam Livingston, on Flickr
