No, it's not - as far as I can tell, personal safes are locked to the first person that opens them - meaning that you couldn't share chests.

Following a quick google though, it appears that it's possible to lock doors with computercraft - with an area protection plugin, presumably this would also mean that you could prevent people from placing a redstone torch (or lever) near the door to bypass the computer lockout.

It does make administration and configuration easier by using less plugins, but if people do want it I'm quite happy to install LWC/Lockette/similar.

BTW, for residence/area protection I think I'm going to go with Residence.

Just a thought, maybe you could put peoples Minecraft names and there forum user names in the first post as some people may not have the same name in Minecraft as they do here, could help people with who is who :thumb:

I guess that's up to individuals: whether or not they want their username available publicly. Quite happy to do so, but I don't want people getting p****d off because I posted their username in a publicly-accessible forum! I know it sounds paranoid, but there are some paranoid people about ;)

Plus there are also players from my other server whitelisted, who aren't bit-tech members.

Just a quick note, I'll be taking the server down at 8pm this evening to install some new plugins.

    EDIT: That's 1900 GMT, btw.

I have no clue what I'm doing with generators and the like. SImply saying "Go look on the wiki!" Isn't any help either. I've no clue what I'm doing, so Help would be appreciated.

    So you've got machines,
    But they need power.
Otherwise you will end up just with lemons
    And they're sour.
    Your macerators, furnaces
    All have a use,
But to work they need some
    pretty potent juice!

    Make a generator from
    Instructions on the wiki,
    You will probably need rubber
Which is made from something sticky,
Put your machine at one end,
    Generator at the other
    Connect them with wire,
    And shout POWER!

    Fuel up the generator
    With a bit of coal,
    You will soon be digging
    Like you're a mole.
    The generator turns fuel
    Into electricity,
    Which you could use
    To power a city.

The power goes down the cable
    To the machine(s),
    Letting you smelt
    And macerate things.
    From this, you expand,
    Upgrade your cable.
    Maybe soon you will
    Become a fable.

    Doing it like this
    Gives you no backup.
    What happens when your
    Coal doesn't stack up?
    Build a BatBox
    Store that energy.
Now you are one step closer
    To becoming me free

    To help get rubber,
    Make an extractor.
    It takes your resin
But gives you three times more.
    Induction furnaces are
    More powerful smelters,
    Helping you upgrade
    Your humble shelter.

    Eventually you will think -
    Too much coal!
    Maybe your environmentalist
    Has too much soul.
    So fabricate a solar panel,
    Get free energy,
    Then eventually all wonders
    You may see.

    Sooner or later
    You will need a compressor,
    Making advanced alloys
Many things they are used for.
    Making advanced circuits will
    Leave you cursing in vain,
    But then you will smile
As it saved you some pain.

    Once you have a
    Proper machine room,
    You may want jetpacks
Or trousers that let you zoom.
    For this you need iridium,
    Made in a mass fabricator;
    Expensive to run,
But then you become 'the maker'.

    Combine that matter
    Into an 'I'
    Sooner or later
You will be able to fly.
    Mix the iridium
    With other things
    That cost a lot
    But almost give you wings.

    And when you have finished
    Building a plant,
    You will realise
    "There's nothing I 'can't'"
    For this is Tekkit!
    Modpack of MC
    After this
    You will be forever free.

Hello all. The server is now back up. I have installed the following plugins:

    • ChopTree2: Unfortunately I had to remove TreeAssist, because it was breaking non-vanilla items (such as ruby axes or chainsaws). This means no fast leaf decay, but your items won't break.
    • MobControl: Creepers are nerfed!
    • Residence: Residence protection plugin. You can use a wooden axe to define the protection area, and it will allow areas up to 128*128. Please see http://residencebukkitmod.wikispaces.com/ for a full list of commands available.
    • Dynmap-Residence: You can see defined residences on the dynamic map - this works best in the overhead "flat" view.

Other than that, I have also changed the chat back to the default config - no more silly colours or (Player) prefixes. Plus, Tekkit-specific blocks (such as basalt or marble) should now work on the dynamic map.

I'll update the OP soon; need a quick smoke break :thumb:

HawkEye has always been there. But there's no need to list that as a feature ;)

Actually it was. And that was the problem I think. Uninstalled Java 7 64bit and put in the developer java 6 64 bit and it hasn't crashed in a long time.

Saw someone on the forums say that for single player you need version 6. to run a server you need 7.

Does anyone know how the Energy Link works? If I put 512 EU into it, is the output greater than if I only put 32 EU into it?
I only ask because i saw no difference powering a refinery after switching from 32 to 512.
    Maybe I wired it wrong....

    And double post, sorry.
