If I remember correctly, the Frio was outclassed by the Dark Rock Pro but i'll dig out the B-T review now.

Edit: Yep, the original Dark Rock Pro was within 1 degree of the Frio running at 100% (which is loud). Review here.

The Dark Rock may be a tight fit but the watercoolers will fit without a problem. What motherboard are you using?

Ooh yes, that is a tight fit...

Well I know for a fact the Dark Rock, the i30, the watercoolers and the Hyper 212 use their own mounting brackets and backplates.

The Freezer 13 uses Arctic Cooling's own type of pushpins. I've used them before and they are much better than the Intel ones.

I've found a pic of an i30 installed (I had to link to the review because of the anti-hotlinking thing)

The motherboard they used was a Gigabyte Z68X-UD4-B3 which looks like this:

    Compare it to your motherboard:

As you can see, the distance between the CPU socket and the first RAM slot is fairly similar so I don't think the i30 will fit.

I would think it probably will but I'm fairly sure it would end up overhanging the first RAM slot on your motherboard. What are your temps like at the moment?

My other suggestion would be the Be Quiet! Shadow Rock Topflow SR1 cooler but it's rather expensive at £37.18. It's tall enough so even tall RAM like the Dominator stuff will fit underneath it as shown here:

Some googling suggests that the temps are pretty good too.

53c but the fan is going nearly 100%

if it would overhang then doesnt that mean it wont fit with the corsair dominator

Thinking about it, since you can't overclock on a H61 chipset I'm struggling to suggest spending anything more than £20 on a cooler as anything more than that would be just wasted. 53 degrees isn't that bad considering only 3 of the 4 pins are holding it on.

My CPU hits the low 50's with a Dark Rock Advanced on top of it.

    Yep.

    Don't you have a G530?

Having anything but the stock cooler is idiotic. Even if you wanted to passively cool it, stock coolers and pretty much inaudible and that chip doesn't make enough heat to do anything else with it.

I agree with Zinfandel. My G860 runs under a stock cooler (which is audible) and my temps max out at 45C with all the fans in my case on low. If you did want to get something better, I'd get a Freezer 13 Pro. Won't overhang the RAM slots and offers very good cooling for the money.

how is that possible, with the stock cooler on the celeron was getting around 60 load although this was with stock paste and cooler and all 4 push pins were in at the time properly with mx4 i remember getting 55c

well the G530 is actually slower than the G860 so i should be getting lower temps not higher

True, but you forget my rig is housed in an NZXT Phantom which currently has 6 fans in it. 2 of which blow directly onto the board and stock cooler. I'm also using MX-4 as the paste.

Whilst a bigger cooler will help, it seems your limiting factor is your case. What is your case by the way?

Have you upgraded the standard cooling in there? If I remember the CM 690 II had relatively poor stock cooling performance. Unless money is a limiting factor, I would upgrade the fans to something a bit more beefy and chuck them on a controller - but that's just me. I like the ability to have a silent PC for browsing and then crank up the airflow for gaming.

If you're just looking to quieten the stock cooler then as Noiz suggested a cheap cooler at lowest fan speed should provide more than adequate cooling with next to no noise.

would that be a CM 690 II ? if so it has space for:
    Front: 140mm
    Rear: 120mm
    Top: 120/140mm x 2
    Bottom: 120mm x 2
    Left side: 120/140mm fan x 2
    Right side: 80mm

were as mine and noiz's phantoms can fit
    Front, 1 X 140mm
    Rear, 1 X 120mm
    Side, 2 x 120mm, 1 x 200/230
    Top, 2 X 200mm
