https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_7_16gb Demand has been so great - its SOLD OUT around the world! *off note - there should be a tablet prefix btw*
Asus had the same issue with the Transformer Prime TF201, i had to wait close to a month for delivery of mine due to the low stocks. Sam
And the point of that would be ? Asus and Google doesn't make this device to make profit on the device itself, but on the content Google can sell you. If the device is not sold, it doesn't generate profit. Price is pretty much fixed as well. So, can you give me a reason why would be they holding back supply artificially ?
I checked 2 different PC World stores some 250 miles apart - both had 6 units delivered on day one. Why, oh why do they make availability so low at launch? As I didn't reserve or pre-order, I'll probably be better off waiting for the next tablet from Samsung or Asus. Incidentally, does anyone know if or when the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 will hit the UK? Edit - my Googlefail.... UK release date is apparently August for the TF700.
was not many released judging by the difficulty i know a few of my friends had in aquiring it pc world in durham and team valley both recieved 6 units all were sold on pre order, They were the only 2 stores to have it in stock around where i live.
Bah, sarcasm doesn't work in text. I meant after the next thing comes out there'll still be another thing around the corner and so on, rinse, repeat. On a related note, just buy the Nexus 7, it's good.
Because they started the production late ? No offense, but i wouldn't buy any non-Nexus device anymore. My Galaxy Nexus already got 4.1 through OTA. When is your Samsung/Asus tablet/phone getting 4.0 ?
The Nexus 7 would be my first tablet (yep, tablet virgin). I like the specs of the Asus TF700 and like the Samsung brand (hope they catch up in the spec's stakes). My HTC phone just got 4.0... literally just a couple of days ago
Quite interesting: http://www.techradar.com/news/mobil...ned-the-google-nexus-7-in-four-months-1089680
My friend ordered one from Google, changed his mind and ordered from Ebuyer; discovered he couldn't cancel the order from Google and subsequently had two delivered. Hog!
Basically shows how willing they were to not include something that would be second rate. Now if Motorola did this with their screens and cameras I'd be pretty happy.
