As a hard core AMD fan I went with a similar build, the processor is fine if you are willing to overclock it to bring it up to Intel's stock. They are also power hungry.

I went for a asrock 970 extreme 4, for the three full length pcie slots

As much as it pains me. A i3 maybe a better choice, allowing you to move to a i5 as a easy upgrade.

My AMDfx build cost £300ish,. For the money your spending I would lower the spend on the graphics card (AMD hd 6870 offer good bang for buck) and get a i5 in there.

Not a bad build actually. Getting an LGA1155 build though might be better for IPC performance but no quad core is a shame.

Im leaving the build critique to others. Don't use Ebuyer customer support is terrible.

Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 Socket AM3+ 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard

hmmm if your gonna overclock id look for something with more solid VRM cause bulldozer will push them to the limit...for a tad bit more you can get a much more capable motherboard with a 990fx chipset aswell

Gigabyte GA-990XA-D3 990FX Socket AM3+ 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard

its basically the 990fx version of the one you chose...
    such as that

Think iv'e changed my mind lol how is this looking now iv'e come down with the gfx card to a 6870 and gone with a better processor :) think he's only gaming on 22" monitor anyway and a 7850 is overkill imo :)

Will this handle games like sc2 wow and diablo3 on full settings ?

I wont be overclocking it at all :)

For the price of the i5 2500, how much of a stretch is it to get a 2500k? Because honestly, might as well have a processor that can overclock the beans out of it.

Overall, not a bad build, although I'd settle for a HD6850 on the pure basis that it's much cheaper. Also if you're willing to wait I do recall that the 660Ti might be coming out soon leading to price drops on more powerful cards. But if you must want a build now. It's a relatively solid build and you can run pretty much anything on high/full settings provided you have a resolution of 1650x1050. At 1920x1080 you might have to scale back a bit.
