I haven't seen any of it so far (being out of the country with very little internet) Saw this thread and had to comment though, GMC and longweight, lighten up The Olympics shouldn't just be thought of as a money making/spending event. They're meant to be a celebration of sporting achievements of people from all over the world. I love them, it's not often you get to see that kinda level in many sports (although I do think some of the more recent sporting additions are pushing it)
Coe said he would name and shame sponsors that got tickets and never used them, but then again this is the same guy that said you couldn't wear a Pepsi shirt at an event. He's since backtracked on both comments, he's a knob. Apparently they're being given to soldiers and teachers now.
Okay. Point taken. impressive silver today in cycling and shame for the swimmer that missed a final place by a quarter second in the semi despite taking 3rd place in that race Let's just not pretend that its all happy shiny care bears time... Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
Of course words can be made up! Did you not hear the truly awesome speech by Boris Johnson? I shall quote it verbatim: "The geiger counter of Olympomania is going to go zoink off the scale!" The man is a ****ing hero!
Talking about that, i laughed today when i watched shooting finals on the Olympics, and the guy had a Macbook... with the Apple covered up with a purple sticky note . No Apple products on Samsung sponsored Olympics . Edit: Picture added.
I think it was the judo I was watching when there were plenty of officials using macbooks, no censorship though.
Oh don't get me wrong, I don't think it's all good and happy. Merely think you're looking at it the wrong way Will be looking forward to watching some of it when I get back, bring on the velodrome
I am happy, although the commentators for the smaller sports (for GB), such as Water Polo, need to at least have a basic understanding of the sport... Both commentators commented on the "Centre Forward" - I'm sorry is this a football match? NO, its a w'polo match and he is a pit man, or hole man, or for a female it is a pit player - centre forward never ever comes into the equation. Tweeted my rant and no reply from the BBC. Wikipedia has been claimed to be the media's most used website for information (see PRWEEK this week for the article) it seems however BBC don't look beyond their own website. /rant over!
The empty seats are getting annoying , looks like they will be starting a wimbledon style cheap as chips repeat use and /or a timer for certain events to actually get bums in seats. oh and teamusa are complaining how wet and cold it is......
must be a little late today - only just found all 26 HD channels of the BBC coverage.... channel 474>497 if anyone didnt know for the different sports as well as the first 2 for the regular coverage
Not happy at all with Japans jump from 4th after a balls up on their part to 2nd because they felt hard done by.. Pricks.
Pfft, I've met Tom Daley. Remember the guy in wheelchair in Inbetweeners? (had a kidney problem or something, can't be sure) They're fairly similar in attitude and personality.
