21 years old; older than me. You should have theen the speaker in the passenger side door where the rain had obviously gotten in, that was far more impressive.

Just dropped it off at the MOT place as there's no-one else around tomorrow morning to drive me back.

    Guess what,

Interior is all back in! I think it looks much better with the interior in actually; despite being monotone grey plastic it's pretty nice.

I also had to install a rear foglight behind the rear bumper as apparently it's a requirement for the MOT, other that that it passed and I was able to get a free partial retest as I brought it in the next day. At some point I'll have to drill a hole somewhere for the switch for it.

Now to find sonmeone who's willing to take a look at the engine and where all that oil is going.

Shouldn't be too hard to find an oil leak if it's external, although of that age it wouldn't surprise if the stem seals were going. Does it smoke at all?

It's actually hidden behind the bumper anyway; you can only really see it when it's on.

Haven't done a full check but yes, I think it's likely the valve stem seals.

I imagine it doesn't smoke else it would have come up on the mot.

I remember once the exhaust impeller snapped off my turbo, I looked like I was driving a steam engine down the road.

If it was only the stem seals they only really smoke on startup or while running down from very high RPMs, so no MOT issues there.

Ah yes I surpose it wouldn't. Although my garage always does a list of advisory problems too, which can be helpful.

Nice! I do miss the rumbling burble of my Scoob but my wallet thanks me on a weekly basis that I no longer have to pay the running costs. Do you get STI's in the US?
