Hmm, I picked up my GTX460 for £135 a couple of months after launch. Lets hope the prices on these drop in the coming months, I can't justify £250, £170ish... maybe.

I can't afford to change my 560ti but was considering it if the 660ti panned out so I could hand my 560 down to my daughter but now I know it's going to £250 Nvidia can stick it. As others have already said it's too close in price to the 670 and it's a no brainer to spend that little bit extra.

I like the look of the MSI card though.

If your outside of the uk where we get ripped off its a great card at a decent price.

£40 is a lot of dollars or euros saving vs the 670.

Nice card fits where I thought it would everyone expecting a 660ti at sub £200 was in lala land

Not knowing the exact performance of the 660ti which I was expecting to be the 560ti's direct replacement I don't see why it's beng in lala land thinking it would be around the same sort of price.

And when you consider that the card is 30% slower than the gtx480 the price in relation to how the GTX660 Ti has panned out compared to the GTX680 is actually quite good.

+ OcUK did hint at a £250 cost to customer... maybe you guys should perhaps consider looking on there forums for your info in future as its 99% of the time near as dammit bang on. :)

Those who thought it was $250... Ill explain it so you can take it in.

    Cost $250 + Shipping costs + Margin + VAT/TAX = £240 - £260 depending on brand for standard 2GB card.

Would have liked to have seen a 560ti added to the tests as well to give an idea on how much more performance has been gained.

Is that the same http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ that just jacked the prices up to £260 after 1 hour on sale?

    Amps on 12v Rail?

Come on, you're meant to be professionals.

PSU requirements from now on - please, or I will not buy your magazine any more.

Sorry this isn't something we plan to implement into our testing; any ATX specification PSU of sufficient wattage should be able to support this card. According to a quick calculate, it's 12.5 amps over the 12v rail though.

Blame MSI ? Not likely. More likely is that MSI gave them a "starter package" at discount, which they were supposed to sell at the correct price (that means at the 260GBP), giving them a little extra profit. OC UK probably decided to skip that extra income and instead wanted to rack up orders... and when the cards ran out, the next package from the manufacturer was at the full price, close to 260GBP.

It's on the first page at bottom in table : TDP 150W

Why do you need more info ? Or should i do the math for you ? 150/12V = 12.5A on 12V rail.

At $299 (top of article has the price at $199 btw) with a free copy of Borderlands 2 this is a perfect card for 1920x1080 gamers. $100 is a lot to pay for 5 frames per second.

The Asus DC2 is on sale at Newegg right now.

Price looks spot on to me, about the same price as an AMD 7950 and it will probably fall abit in time as well. For people who are complaining about it costing too much I'm sure the 660, 550 and 550ti will be out to fill the gap soon enough but if you can't wait whats wrong with AMD's offering!? The 7870 and 7850 are available now and fill the gap nicely.
