I'm guessing 'swings and roundabouts' Suggesting there isn't much between the two cards in the previous post.
I got confused by that also for a moment. "Lonely playground? Don't stand on a swing? You can lead a child to the playground, but you can't make it have friends? ... oh... I get it."
660ti 7870 = perfect for 1080 gaming or below 670 680 7970= perfect for 2560 gaming 680 sli 4gb 7970 sli = perfect for 3 screens Thats how i see the market at the minute.
i think im going to wait for the dust to settle somewhat im hoping AMD cut the price of the 7870 to £200 or below and then thats the best card for 1080p gaming
That may be true, but a 7850 also plays everything maxed out at 1080p, and thats without its fairly OCing potential. And its only £170
7850 cuts very close to minimum frames on a few games (30fps) so while its perfectly fine now i doubt it would be in 12 months making it a poor investment for £170
When overclocked (simply moving the sliders to maximum in CCC) that adds 5-10fps in most games. I left mine at stock because I can't usually tell the difference in high and ultra in most games, whereas 60fps does look better than 30
This review sold me on the 7870. If there is the ability to overvolt also, it'll be an epic little card for me.
I entered a contest to win a GTX 660 ti. Now I was actually entering to win the card to give the card to my friend who has an old 9800GTX. Now I question if I do win, should I swap out my GTX 480 for it? Which is the faster card?
