Just read through the details of what Samsung is offering and it's a very good deal.

    Read the offer here...

    http://www.samsung.com/uk/student/cashback.html

Basically for the 256GB Samsung 830 SSD bought from any retailer, we can claim back £20 directly from Samsung. So that £149.99 SSD is looking much more appealing. I may go for two! :D

Also although the offer hints this is a student/college promotion, there is no such restriction in the terms and conditions that I can see with a quick read through. So the offer does appear to be open to all residents of the United Kingdom and the Republic Of Ireland. Just make sure you buy the SSD from a retailer specifically based and/or registered within the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland.

Oh, that's not too bad, I know's there's a similar offer with Intels SSD range, including the 320 and 520 SSD's.

Edit: And damn, My 3 830's where bought a few months ago, so i can't claim, boo.

Plenty of time. Offer is open until 30th September and claims can't be made before 30th August anyway.

Well that's pretty awesome, thanks =D The £20 Cashback is also specifically mentioned on the product page on Scan, which kind of suggests that it isn't just a student promotion.

I am having my 1st night's experience with the Samsung 830 as I have literally just completed my rebuild following numerous issues and hardware changes.

    It is..sharp.

Claims open from 14th September on the SSD...

    https://samsungbacktocollege.com/

Little naughty, as the Samsung website did specify 30th August. So the claim period for early adopters is tighter!

You don't have to be a student to take advantage of this offer.

    /smug mode enabled.

So I just scored a couple of Samsung 830 256GB SSD for £144.99 each from ebuyer. With £20 cashback each that'll take it below £125 per SSD! Not to mention a little extra cashback from Quidco! That's over 2GB per pound, not at all bad that. :D

Pointed this out in the first post. Certainly worth mentioning again though as Harlequin states, avoid Pixmania to take advantage of this offer!

Register with Quidco, login and follow the link to get to ebuyer through the Quidco website, then buy as normal.

Just don't right click and open tabs in separate windows otherwise Quidco can't follow the cookie trail!

Sometimes Quidco doesn't track it properly, so keep checking the Quidco page, and if need be, raise a claim, I've had to do that with Crucial, hopefully a good result.

    @Blogins, don't suppose you fancy buying me a 256GB 830, actually, make that 2:thumb:

    No! :D

Also just a heads up, read the rules of making a claim very carefully. With the SSD you have to hit a window between 30 - 45 days AFTER the first day you made the purchase for the claim to be valid. Otherwise it sounds like they will invalidate your claim! Very strict guidelines to follow for this cashback so don't fall foul here!

Quidco cashback came in at £2.42 per SSD for those interested.

Check the rules for yourself, but from memory day one is the purchase date, then you can make a claim 29 days AFTER this first day. Just get it between the 30 - 45 day mark to be safe when registering a claim!
