We aren't all weird :D I've always wondered why we have Vauxhall's here and everywhere else it's Opel. Must be a brand name conflict or something. I had a vauxhall for my last car, from new, never again. Lots of problems and just not in the same league for build quality and handling as their German rivals.

Anyway, the block looks absolutely stunning :thumb:

So I made the o-ring needed:

All the o-rings in for a test:

    Top mounted:

The screws are only for the leak test, I'm gonna buy some black ones for the final assembly! :)

And for the leak test! I finally found use for the old cooling tower I made:

Quite amazing how much black residue that was left inside the system from the Primochill liquid.

Well, this is gonna run for a while, and then I'm on to the next couple of things on the build.

    C ya soon! :)

How is the leak testing going? everything good? And clean out that nasty cooling tower!

Do you have any 260 GTX blocks laying around (like 3 of them)? I know where they would find a good home;) OOOO and a block for a 920 on a EVGA E760?;) ? One mans trash!!

That was a joke well kinda.

Thanks a lot man! I have to admit that I'm really happy about the way it came out! :)

    Thanks! :)

Hmm.. Maybe there's a tattoo hidden there...

    Thanks! :thumb:

    Thank you! :)
I'm looking forward to that myself as well! I'll try to see if I can throw it on the card tomorrow and just test with the setup as it is now! :)

It's going great. No problems so far, and it's been running the last 24 hours...

In all honesty I don't know what to do with the tower. I can't get myself to throw it out, but I don't have room for it after I bought a new tv!
Gonna probably hang on to it and hope to find room when I get a new appartment some day! :)

Oh darn.. I just threw those EXACT blocks out!

    Thanks man! :) Don't worry, I'll keep modding... I can't stop!

Angel do you glue your seals or just let them seal under compression of the cover ??

    Thanks man! That's a big compliment! :)

I glue them. I would never try to seal under compression only! :)
Make a clean straight cut, and use the Loctite Super Attak super glue. I guess any cyanoacrylate glue could be used! :)

Not the best pic, but when you know it, you can see the place it's glued. :)

A little hint. If you're not sure how good you are at lining up the two ends when gluing them, you can use a piece of PTFE with a v-groove in it. Just make sure it's PTFE, anything else will get glued seriously together with the o-ring.

It will stick to the PTFE, but not too much. :)

    Thanks man! :)

I weighed the block before I started machining, and it was 750 g. I havn't weighed it after, but Solidworks just told me it weighs around 475 g with the top on. The top is around 80 g, so it must be close to 400g. :)

Pink... I wish it was red, but it's what I can get since it's engine coolant!

I'm probably gonna have to get more, so I'll see if I can find a brand that is more red! :)

It would look amazing if the lexan piece was the same shape as the bottom, or at least followed the lines i think :thumb: (Same size as now, but shape like the alu)

But really nice work like always ...
