on a 580 thats a pretty good temp reading. And so much more attractive a block than how you said a "proper" block. And you get the added I did that satisfaction .. priceless

Why is that the same impact I have on women? :worried:

    Thanks a lot man! :)

Thanks man! I'm actually glad to hear that it's not too bad on the temps! :)

Thats a great block, not keen on the writing (personal preference), but obviously the thing that impresses me is the fact you made an awesome block yourself.

The temps on my prefitted evga hydro block is only 5 or 6 degrees different, but i wouldnt care about that if it meant i could have my own 1 off custom made block. So same as others are saying really.

    Well done, nice work.

Thanks man! :) Well, I knew not everyone would like it, but the important thing is that I like it! :) And how boring would the world be if we all liked the same things! :)

I'm very happy to hear about the temps. For being home made and aluminum... I'd say that 5-6 degrees is pretty damn good! :)

    Just a small update.

I decided to paint the Thermal Armour white.

Last I saw a sabertooth tiger in my garden it had white teeth, not black! :p

Right now I'm taking on the happy task of swapping wires on my PSU's.
The 550W that's in the R3 case right now MIGHT be good enough, but I'm not taking any chances. I'm taking my 850W corsair for it.

I decided it's easier to cut and solder every damn wire, than to re-sleeve my corsair...
Not sure if that was the right move, but there's a lot of sport in tv today so I hope to get a good start. :)

I missed all the GPU block updates, but the final result looks awesome. You can come up with some fantastic designs for waterblocks thats for sure :thumb:

I love to read comments like yours! It really makes my whole day! :thumb:

Just to let you guys know I'm not on the lazy side, I just got done with the wires on the PSU. Resoldered every damn wire on the ATX plug, on both PSU's.

I swear, someday I'm gonna buy a wire stripper... My fingers a killing me right now, and I'm bleeding from 3 cuts in my left index finger. But all in the name of modding! :)

I also ordered a 120GB kingston ssd, I need something small for this build as there really is no space in the case anymore!

Seems like it could actually be done soon! :)

C ya with an update in the next couple of days!

    No no no! :)

I had sleeved the first PSU for this mod, back when I thought other hardware was going in. Now I'm worried that it's not powerfull enough, and to not sleeve the other one, I just decided to cut and solder the 24 pin ATX from one to the other! :)

    Hi guys.

I'm still waiting for my ssd so I can crack it open and start modding it! :)

But no need to sit still and wait. Since I painted over the logo of the thermal armour, I decided to make amends. :)
