loving the attention to detail. most everything else i have seen looks pathetic compared to this, no offense to all other great modders, especially not to the carbon fiber(my favorite material) king, Cleveland216.

Small update.

I know I said I'd be working on designing a new case for the SSD, but I have designers block this weekend.

But on the other hand, I decided to put the system in the case instead!

Thermal Armour mounted:



Not too bad!

Decided to put this in the thermal armour. Had to re-solder the wires, as it only needed like 10 mm of wire to be mounted.



First test. Please ignore the small mess :

With all these bottles of different fluids, I'm pretty happy that I'm sober and have no kids running around... Who knows that could go in the mouth in this environment!



It WORKS! By GOD I'm happy!
Everything is running around 30 degrees while idle in my appartment. I think it's like 25 degrees in here, so that's the baseline.

I played a bit of BF3, and the gfx went up to 53-54 degrees. This is with the 240 rad on minimum rpm, and the Laing on 9 volts. Not too bad!
The CPU is on the single 120 rad, also lowest rpm on the fan, and 9 volts on the pump.
It hit 50 degrees centigrade while gaming. I'm pretty pleased with this!

I finally put the back on it, and got all the wires sorted. To be honest there is NOT a lot of room for all that, but after 30 minutes I got it on.

Right now it looks like this:





And the best thing... I can throw this old thing away!



It's been good to me, but it's time for a change!

Well.. I really wanted red and blue, but I still havn't found a dye that will stand up to engine coolant... But I'm still looking though!

 

if youd gotten it to be red, along with wite mobo and blue, i would currently be worshiping you! Oh, wait, im doing that already! And no thanks nescessary, we should be thanking you for doing such great mods!

and wait.... engine coolant(temps must be icey!)? water coolant just isnt enough i guess. one wonders just how far something can be taken and is that a discreet video card/laptop card? sorry if i missed a post!

The colors in that sleeve create an amazing effect. The CPU block also fits perfectly in the project.

Will you mod the motherboard collers? In my humble opinion their color does not fit in the general layout of the project.

Don't know why, but thought I had seen this through to completion, so suddenly realising there was so much to catch up was nice. Sweet work as ever mate, can not wait to see where this goes, looking more and more awesome every time :L Wish I had the imagination and the skills to do things to such a high standard as you. You just HAVE to make atomic fan grills to put on all those fans - you have GOT to!

There are a couple of reasons for the engine coolant.
1. It does not loose the color over short time, and others liquids I've used has also had a tendency to color the tubing.
2. Since I have copper radiators and aluminum blocks, there will be galvanic corrosion, and engine coolant is amazing to prevent this anoying phenomenon.

Not really sure what you mean about the video card/graphics card?

Hi Angel.

I'm glad that the CPU-cooler works that well, allthough I had my reservations in the very beginning, when you first showed it to us. I'd say that the CPU-cooler i smy favourite part of this build, especially with this lovely detail of the atom-screws

The choice of cooling-aid fits perfect imho, and makes the whole thing look like a chemical experiment. Matches the whole thing fantastic

 

i mean by that that its laying parallel w/ mobo. or isnt it connected yet?

 

It's connected with a flexible riser card.
