One may have a larger... instrument... and require a larger shee wee.

You English speaking people and your bacon. :eyebrow:
The stuff reminds me of eating a whole scoop of salted butter because I thought it was vanilla ice-cream. Horrible.

    On a related note:

Then again. We have this thing called 'drop'.
(And I am having a lot of fun letting unsuspecting foreign exchange students try them. I could make a documentary about the different reactions I get from different people. link :naughty:)

Ah, Anisseed flavoured sweets; vile, vile taste indeed. You can buy alcohol with the same flavour if you fancy trying the same trick that way ( I forget what the stuff was called, but I only tried it once & won't ever again... ).

Glad to hear I am not the only one who does this was beginning to think I had some sort of issue when I brought a kilo of Tyrkisk peber with me to China for just that purpose, and you know it is good when the milder versions of the original have names like Hot & Sour and Bonfire

But didn't know the Dutch liked proper licorice, thought it was mainly in Scandinavia as I have always been unable to find any as soon as I get just a bit south in Germany, and it all but disappear when you are in the US or Asia.

And I personally love drop by the way :D

You weak livered milk drinkers

As a Dutchman living in the UK I can unequivocally say that the bacon sandwich and Full English Breakfast are two of the very finest contributions by Britain to the culture of humanity (although the music, literature and Victorian science and engineering isn't bad either).

When I go for a Full English at the golf club caf in the local park, operating from a couple of portacabins (and visited more by the local dog walkers and plod than golfers), there is just nothing like stepping from the cold, damp weather into a warm cabin foggy with the welcoming, deliciously scented vapour of frying bacon and nice cups of tea. God bless Britain.

I feel your pain; I've done the same with pancakes.

Well, nothing beats salting something with a sugar (which was crushed to so small pieces that it could be actually mistaken) :D.

It is mainly Scandinavia and The Netherlands. In Germany and Belgium it gets very hard to find someone who likes it and all of the French people I gave them to reacted really strongly.
Asian people just politely nod, say 'delicious' and continue chewing at a much slower pace than they were. :p

And I want to try the Turkish Pepper. :D

It actually was from pancakes. I was in the Czech republic before I went to the U.S. and there they have pancakes with icecream and liquor. Now it is the first thing I smell and throw off whenever I get them.
