Convection isn't a problem here IMHO. In active airmovement it's almost doesn't matter. Only problem could be when warm air from psu sucked inside case by fans

Ambient air sucked inside psu thru my side window case (metal mesh with air filters) and push hot air from PSU out of my case (bottom mesh PSU).

    (bottom view)

next time i'll make another fan hole at the bottom case and put my yateloon to exhaust hot air around vga card.

Negative air flow fans ...negative air flow fans :D

Epic budget modding here mate, i love the sleeve on the coolermaster style legs you made. One question though and thats why does it look like your cpu cooler is tilted, did it take a knock or is it just the photo angle???

    Epic work mate :thumb:

I found 2nd hand xigmatek dark knight (without 1155 bracket) for only 15$. So instead of using intel standard cpu cooler, i took 775 xigmatek dark knight. And luckily my asrock mobo has Combo Cooler feature so i can use 775 HSF on 1155 socket, although yes the mounting hole is a little bit tilted :)

    :D

My apologies I must have misred your post, I thought you were pushing air through the top and using your PSU to pull it through the bottom. Please ignore what I wrote above about the airflow.

    a little progress:
since i had to sell my dremel like rotary tool to survive untill next salary day :waah:
I use a knive to drill some holes on font case

Marked non food kitchen knive. Make 3 holes :dremel:

For this... fighter pilot style switch from local market and my diy fan controller. I forget to buy one more potensio knob :wallbash:

I use the switch to change fan voltage from 12V to 5V incase i need total silence for movies. Fan controller needed when i play some stealth game. Full rpm only for benchmarking (which is i never did) and for full action game (full speaker volume to cover 44++dB yateloons).

Do it :D love to see your mod design..
    :dremel::rock:

I'm thinking to get water cooled... tomorrow is salary day and now i'm calculating some impossibilities (240 rad, standard pump, low end cpu water block, NB block, vga block, normal reservoir)

naaah, i guess I'll just buy some tubing first, and several cheap fitting... :)

3 bay reservoir... less than 2$, i'm not measuring anything, if it's not fit, i'll use it as my tool box, but then it fits perfectly :D i'm glad

I'll buy 5$ submersible pump tomorrow...

Very good idea to take a stock cpu cooler and mod it to water.

Just be sure to do a leak test then install.

    Looking GOOD.
