I love it - I have a few girls in my form group at school who /love/ beiber, and one of them might actually be the kind of person to have done this

Reading this made me think of one thing, is it really fun to laugh at people who shaved their heads in respect to a person who is going through something that is horrible to do.

 

We are essentially laughing at people with a mental illness. So it is up to us to decide whether we find that funny.

I can't think of any other explanation for enjoying anything to do with Justin Bieber, even if I try to get in to the mentality of a teenage girl.

While I normally think Beliebers are the lowest form of life, I think this has taken it a bit far. Theres a high probability that this could turn into real life bullying problems, which recently, has been a somewhat hot topic on my side of the pond since a young girl commited suicide a few weeks back due to bullying.

I spent the first 2 years of grade school bald for the legitimate reason and I can tell you, it's not fun.

I was just thinking the same thing.

Its funny right up until the point that 10-20 young girls have to spend the next 2 years growing back their hair, all of whom are probably curled up in the corner their bathroom crying their eyes out at the idea of going back to school tomorrow.

Picking on someone because of their race, size, socio-economic status [insert other thing they have no control over] is not cool. If someone turns up tomorrow in a clown suit (something they chose to do of their own free will), then I say they have it coming (up to a point). Same with the shaved head deal. This world isn't without consequences and people need to learn this at an early age. I don't think being a tweenanger makes you too young for this lesson. In fact I think you should already have learned it.


Please pretend that tomorrow isn't Halloween when considering the clown reference.

 

As much as I'm inclined to say that bullying should be avoided at all costs, anyone who shaves their head like this and doesn't think about the consequences needs a serious lesson in rationality.
