Thanks guys! Some more work for the front panel: And since I have a couple of Himuros, I decided to try how it looks painted.. I rather like it, but I'm not sure if that color will stay.. Not to say I'm not 100% sure about the color theme either. Might use the black one anyway. Quick test fitting with rough cut parts:
Hi guys! Some more parts: Some quick planning and mounting of the fans: And random old motherboard test fitted: Very tight fit.. Just the way I like.
Another build?! it lookes like I missed the final part of the previous one ...anyway, looks great so fat!
Thanks Gtek! And yeah, I started this project since I got frustrated with LiLi A05N. Terrible temps and too flimsy chassis imo. Good excuse to start another project, huh? What's funny is that 'Zoe' is just sitting in the box.. I've hardly used it lately. But soon I'll swap it for 24/7 use so I can move current system to this new case. Hopefully I can then get more photos of both systems.
Thanks maestro0428! Did some small cleaning of the motherboard.. Basically I just removed some logos and lots of stickers. And this is how my temporary system in LiLi A05N looks:
Hey! My hero is back with another great project! I'm sooooo excited about it! Of course, I'm looking forward to see the followings!
wow! great start! tho i have to say, have you been in my sketchup folder? its oddly similar to a design i've made! I suppose we can call it "scandinavian design" (there is a slight difference tho, you actually build your designs... mine have left the drawingboard,,, )
btw, shouldn't it be able to put 4 ssd's in the himuro if you tur them 90deg and make holes for the cables in the side of the himuro?
I've had terrible luck with computers lately and had to take a *small* pause before writing this.. Short story: Crosshair IV is gone. No idea how CIVF broke down.. Overclocks just failed - ok, no problem, let's just use stock settings. But still I can boot maybe three times out of four to Windows and if I load the CPU even a little bit system freezes. There's also a lot coil whine now. It even crashed three times while doing the last backup.. That was scary! And that leads to another thing. Since I don't have motherboard and don't want to buy a new one for this system, I'm discontinuing this project. I had it all running fine and just missing paint and many details plus final PSU/sleeving. Sorry guys for the disappointment.. At least it was fun as long as it lasted. I'm going to move graphics card and Vertex 3 to ZOE and keep it as my main system for the time being. At least it's working great. But no worries, I'll be back next year with a proper new project..
What the hell man? Giving up only because MBO is dead? What would you said if you were on my place-I am building a expensive case without any funds, without any hardware (will have to rip my pc to get hardware for build). You have half finished project and wat to cancel it because dead MBO? Where is your passion for modding, for building something? I am really dissapointed in you.
