As that case takes m-ATX (and mini-ITX) and you already have an ASUS board I'd go for the Maximus V Gene here - good reviews and would fit the bill (and the case :thumb:)

Edit: Not to do with the mobo but you're going to struggle with that Kuhler 920 in that case as there aren't any 120mm fan mountings...

Ouch, that's probably more than I want to pay to be honest.

That did occur to me but that is not a major issue as I can change that to something more suitable for the case.

Going smaller seems more expensive these days.

Well that is regarded as one of the best (read: most expensive) LGA1155 boards but there are obviously cheaper, albeit not quite as good, options. What's your budget?

If you don't need the features of Z77 then the Maximus IV Gene-Z is £120 (Z68 chipset)

Or if you don't want to overclock then the H77 chipset would save you a few pounds (well more than a few actually - more like half:

I have not really got a budget in mind but I know I do not want to spend £150 on a mobo. Overclocking is not something that particularly interests me either. I am not sure what is meant by the features of Z77 but I am sure I do not need them. Quite like the look at your H77 suggestion. Will keep that in mind.

Realised that when I put together a PC using the Prodigy case.

Even most of the cheapest Z77 boards can overclock a 3570K to 4.5GHz. Just look for one that has VRM heatsinks, and do a quick Google search to make sure it doesn't have any silly limitations (I've seen MSI boards with no voltage settings in the BIOS for example). The warranty will tell you about the overall build quality.

Thanks but I have a 2500K and I was actually looking for specific suggestions as I am afraid "VRM heatsinks" and "silly limitations" mean little to me. But thanks again.

I can't seem to find a picture of a system set up in that case but there's a 120mm fan mount at the back of the case and a 140mm fan mount in the top so you've at least got a chance of the kuhler fitting in there :thumb: *You'd need an adapter to fit the 120mm kuhler in the 140mm fan space

I think I will wait till I get the case and see how the fitting of the 920 goes as it would not matter if one of the fans was outside of the case. Thanks again.

Maximus V Gene or P8Z77-I Deluxe if you want to go even smaller :)

The Maximus V Gene was the first mobo suggested and rejected as being to expensive. As for the P8Z77 that is worth looking into.Thanks.

NZXT are bringing out a AIO watercooler with a 140mm radiator so an adapter wouldn't be needed but I'm not sure when they're going to be available.
