Star Citizen now well over $3m in RSI/KS combined pledges. Kickraq has the KS fund alone trending towards $1.485m. Another $500k on the main site and we hit the magic $4m mark. It could happen! Haven't even had the last 3 days uplift yet.

Depending on whether I win the Euro Lotto tonight, that $4mil is guaranteed.

Right, if one of us wins, we split it.

If you win, you get 50% and I get 50%
    If I win, I get 50% and I get 50%

    WTB Crew for my Constellation.

I need a Bones, Scotty, and a Spock.

Count me in, I'll gun for you on any runs you care! Either that or I can park my 300i in your hanger and launch if needed.

Now this is a tad odd. The spec sheet suggests that the docking bay is actually limited to a small "snub" fighter, the P52. Given the size of the Constellation I am not sure it will actually accommodate any of the standard ships. The 300i is 20 tons, while the Constellation is 75 tons and is not even classed as a Corvette (let alone a Destroyer).

I think one of the crew might actually end up being the pilot. Though I don't see why ship-docking would be a big deal on larger ships, I am a tad worried that it'll become a very exclusive club of those who can accommodate normal sized ships into their docking bays. Maybe the Corvette, but given the role it's expected to have, I might not be surprised if he won't see ship docking of standard classes until a Destroyer.

Actually, its confirmed that the 300i can definitely fit in the constellations hanger.

Heard about the 100 player, instanced cap system they want to use to render space.

Can't say I'm happy right now.

Really? IMHO 64 players in BF3 is pretty hectic, 100 is more than enough, and its still more than almost any FPS/air combat type game today.

In any case, its because it there is no way any GPU, in the present or near future than can render more than 100 ships + other assets built with Cryengine 3 quality graphics.

Personally, I'd rather have a 100 player cap and gorgeous graphics.

    Are you ****ing kidding me?!?!:jawdrop:

Freelancer is one of my al time favourite games.. I still go back and play it now and then...
And he is saying it was supposed to be better?
Goddam I can't wait for this game now

    Hmmm...

I wonder if I can park my Constellation inside yours?
:dremel:Only one way to find out:D

Always good to see the funding unlocking the next mini level. Only 700k to go to $4mil !

    Seems fine to me.

Chris' ambition for this game is immense. If even half of what he wants is implemented with the basic game, it will be brilliant.

What those who see that ^ as a downside, don't realise that there would still be patches and expansions adding in the left out and newer features for years to come after release.
