The BFG came as a factory card, over clocked and with the DD water block fitted as standard. it had a list price close to 600 quid.

Well that's it all leak tested. I Had one leak on a dodgy fitting but that has been sorted. looks like its time to put it all together and over clock the nuts off it.

And my favorite bit, cable tidying (not)..lol

A couple of years ago, i hadn't built a pc for donkeys years (apart from cleaning and rebuilding my own) when my mate asked me to build one for him. Just before i turned it on, i said "the worst thing when turning on a new pc is if there's no noise at all. If it beeps, we should be in business or at least know what's wrong". So i hit the power, the fans spin up, there's a slight gurgle from the h50 as it takes it's first breath, i mash the delete key, then nothing. Absolutely zip. No beeps, no display, shear gut-wrenching horror.

Then my mate says 'oh hold on, i've not switched channels on my monitor', he presses a button and up pops the bios. The flatulence that followed from the relaxation of every muscle in my body resulted in us evacuating the flat. But dam it felt good.

2 days later i found out why there were no beeps, i had put the internal speaker in my pocket so it didn't get lost. It got washed instead. Oops.

I often wonder on here how people get their names, I think after what you let go it explains a lot of how your name came about.:D:D

I did have a scary moment last night when it was constantly saying HDD not found, done the usual stuff changed all the leads etc and still nothing.

As a last resort I put another HDD in and hey presto, for some reason it now doesn't like the hard drive thats been in it all along..Odd really

ha ha ha. :hehe: No fortunately it's not, it stems from my nickname at uni of 'crappy', which was shirt for crap Andy and is owed to my awful sense of humor and the truely horrendous jokes i used to come out with.

i love it when my pc decides that it doesn't like a certain component. Last time it happened to me it was the ram, which worked fine in the pc for a year, then just wouldn't boot with it. Worked fine in another pc though. Quite infuriating.

Thats it boys and girls, I'm all done..

Firstly I would like to say a massive thanks to Tellzybub Carrie and Mr X for all their help on this build, also thanks to speed who lived up to his name and got some bits sent out to me mega quick..

My total out lay for this build has been a grand total of £132.. well cheap

Dylan helped out with some spraying and a few other bits , so he has had his first taste of modding and loved it.

And now for a few pics, I'll get some decent ones done with in the next few days.

Thanks for all the input and comments guys, this is a great forum to be part of...

Looks great Jeff but enough already with the thanks. It was only some ram and a rad. And maybe a bit of motivation :)

Now no pinching it off Dylan or playing with it when he's not there ;)

Thanks a lot Mark, not to bad considering the state it was in:D
Thats a lot, it took a while but got there in the end.

It all help though Carrie, so it's most appreciated. At one point I almost did kidnap this case, I was going to give him Saturday night special and keep this for myself:naughty::naughty:

Thanks a lot Tel, he hasn't seen it altogether and up and running yet.

What I like about this one is the total price, now thats modding on the cheap..lol
