Don't know... Just haven't felt like playing Multiplayer lately... just being really antisocial.

Been playing FC3 since Sunday, finished it last night and decided to check out the Xbow

    Summary: It's ****.

Lmao, I have found it does kinda suck. I fired what should have been hits but no it missed for some reason. Oh well. It will get patched and become better or worse you never know.

And I text you and no reply :(

The crossbow is decent enough and definitely satisfying for long-range headshots since the 'bullet drop' is massive! Shooting at someone 120m away and I had to aim 2 feet above him to get a chest-shot.

Loving the layout of the new maps, liking it a lot so far.

Not starting any debate but I noticed that it is a lot more useful on hardcore. You can use it run and gun style and almost like a very slow reloading slug shotty. Plus, if you hit chest it's a definite kill, compared to normal, which makes it more forgiving.

Still, I think it was put in as a ''fun'' weapon and never took it seriously. It's much like going for elaborate C4 kills when shooting it at range.

The maps are good though, you're right! We even discussed the abundance of 'yellow' filter use on them and decided that actually, that mimics the glaring sun you would get in the day in Iran, IMO at least!

Imo they're the best maps DICE have made yet (at least for Rush, haven't played enough CQ to tell). Lots of interesting paths through them, no truly safe camp spots, lots and lots of flanking. Just what any infantryman wants :)

I just finished unlocking all the different bolts for the crossbow today, so I hope to give them a try this evening.

Since it replaces your gadget, rather than a weapon, it's just another tool that you can use. The scan bolt could be very useful for Recon.

From what I've heard, the scan bolt is just something you fire at an area and it beeps if someone's there. It's not something that works like a tugs, which is a shame tbh.

I'm working with the SKS in an aggressive recon role, so I'm interested to see how it will be useful to me in checking an area I'm attacking :)

Did the SKS aggressive recon my self now as I need the kills for "Stay away from my tent".
Very easy with the sks and red dot.

So how's the new DLC after having the chance to play through it a bit? I'm overseas at the moment (since Nov. 30th) so haven't been able to play anything for the past couple weeks. Prior to leaving I had mainly been playing CS:GO, but keen to give BF3 another bash when I return to the vicinity of my PC!

Proably the best dlc they have done so far, as the maps are really well made.

The xbow is a bit of fun, ive just unlocked 2/3 of the arrows so need to play with them and see what they do- it replaces the utility slot.

New maps are briliant. Almost my favourite maps in the game, and definitely the best DLC.

Modeling on some places is a bit poor. Same as the previous with the invisible rocks blocking shots. It is fun.
