$80 (so far) for a single keycap? I'm stunned.

Somebody please, please, explain what I'm missing. I can only assume it's super-rare or something, although I'm sure I recently saw a pic (possibly in here) of someone's board with a stack of those attached; albeit in various colours.

Clacks are valuable simply through supply and demand ultimately!

EDIT: They're originally sold for $20ish each and then get sold on for a lot due to their rarity!


AFAIK the most ever for a clack was $250 for a Mr. Friday, but I'm not sure, LW is more knowledgeable than me!

There's only a few colours i like.

When I say few I mean, blues, greens, the pink, and the black tri colours.

 

It isn't really hoarding though, those guys love collecting them.

LW has his very own hate thread now. Seems to me a bunch of CC haters aren't actually haters - they just want an end to CC auctions and a price cap, so they can buy one.

Am I alone in thinking that GH and Deskthority both have more than their fair share of ass-hats?

 

Far more than their fair share... Every thread over there seems to have at least one post where someone is slagging off someone else - people there really know how to hold a grudge!

This is just amazing, if someone has more money they're going to get a clack. There's no use complaining about community spirit because it just washes as ******** now. These people are insane.

I'm just waiting for the banhammer to drop on people now. Seriously, who on earth would want to get interested in mechanical keyboards when this is the kind of community they join- one that does nothing but complain?

 

I just don't get the hate, rare things cost money....
