I don't actually care about CCs, they just don't appeal to me. However, why should I get all hot and bothered if someone wants to cough up a few hundred dollars to buy a little 3/4" piece of plastic? I may as well go and rage on a philatelist website, or scream at trainspotters - coz they're all mad, right? Of course, there's nowt wrong with my hobby - tinkering with PCs is clearly far superior.

 

Honestly these guys are insane. Must be time to sell more cakes.

 

I'd like to take this opportunity to be grateful for the awesome community we are a part of right here. I'd also like to take a moment to praise the Mods, who's judgement could never been questioned.

If I was a GH mod, I'd take a ban hammer and knock that Rouge guy 6 feet under!

 

I must have fewer than 10 posts on GH, most of them in the marketplace. I sold two Cherry MX EPOS keyboards and a set of keycaps from a third keyboard (which I still have), and after that I was pretty much done with the forum. It's awful.

 

It does make me appreciate this place!

 

Well, it is a forum solely dedicated to keyboards. It's bound to attract some oddballs who understand nothing else. This wins because it's a thread on a proper forum

 

I've never even got to judging the GH community, simply because the layout and structure of the forums makes my brain hurt. It's far too compartmentalised, like bit-tech used to be in the bad old days.

These guys getting upset over clacks is just based on one thing - jealousy. If they'd been able to get clacks they would've hocked them for money or kept them, it's only because there are well-heeled collectors out there prepared to pay whatever is needed to own them that the prices are high.

 

There seem to be an awful lot of very similar looking ones..? Are they all fundamentally similar #switchnoob

 

£17 customs charges for me, should be getting my caps some time next week now I guess.

 

They're identical other than a) TKL or Full keyboard and b) Switch type

 

How many bags did you buy?

 

That would be one bag margo bought I got the same on mine, Vat and handling charges

 

and c) Colour (case)

And yes that is true.

Ultimately - now I know the postage is the same for 1 - 4 bags, next year I will be buying 4 bags

(And then violently profiteering through keycaps....haha if only)

 

and d) the fact that a CM Storm Quickfire Rapid is a Filco TKL with a different font on the keycaps, without the word Filco on the case, and with a much smaller price tag because it doesn't have the word Filco on the case.

Other than that and the caps/num/scroll led placements, they are basically the same board from the same factory.

 

but it is harder to find it in any switch or layout that you want. and if you are unlucky you might get one of the older ones covered in obnoxious branding.

 

This I cannot deny, but it is a lot less money

 

I can say I love my Filco, I would buy keycaps but never find anything I like.
