Hated it, reds are nice switches but it mixes them with rubberdome switches for some reason... also the wrist rest is really weird, it throws your typing off but is ok in games I guess.

Corsair is releasing a refresh (K95/K65) soon that is 100% MX switch and supposedly have fixed the problems (that I suspected was caused by the MX domes mix). If you like the style of Corsair board buying current ones now would be really stupid.
Even still if it is all good on the refresh, for the price I would recommend about a dozen other boards first.

You just sound like a brand snob. Why are you assuming an unrealeased product that hasn't been reviewed and you haven't used is inferior to products you currently like?

Lysol knows a lot about keyboards, the manufacturers etc so his word is good as is his assumption.

You'll excuse me if I reserve judgement 'til release.

Of course, I wouldn't expect you to do otherwise.

That's fair enough but there aren't many around that know more about kb's than lysol... Usually the Corsair boards are overpriced (in my opinion) as they're aimed at 'l33t g4m3rz'...

    Certainly if I had £80 for a keyboard I wouldn't spend it on a K60

He is a brand snob - He likes Cherry. But on top of that, he knows nearly all things about nearly all keyboards. And it's an easy assumption to make, as Corsair haven't really proved their mechanical prowess - there are heaps of boards that have and therefore if you asked anyone who is interested in mechanical keyboards, they would give you plenty of recommendations before considering a Corsair, as there are plenty of boards that have proved their worth more.

CM Storm are the only mainstream brand that has really released a proper contender in the mid range (£60-100 bracket), and that's CM Storm (i.e. CoolerMaster) with the Rapid.

Logitech, Corsair, Razer etc have tried valiantly but they are not releasing top-quality products on the whole, or they're overpriced/fugly.

When you're spending that amount of money you have the right to be a little snobbish ;)

That's a fair comment about a product that is released.
Knowing a lot about keyboards doesn't normally allow you to see into the future though :)

davefelcher, like you I hope that big boys start producing awesome boards at good price points, because competition will drive prices down. The issue is that they have all been trying to do this for a few years now with very little success, whereas specialist suppliers like Cherry, Diatec, Ducky Channel, KBT etc. have got it down to a fine art.

How do you know that - maybe cramming your brain with information about keycaps, switches, manufacturing processes and all manner of vintage keyboard goodness does in fact impart a somewhat psychic ability...

    Only one man truly knows...

I guess there just isn't enough government funding available for important research.

There is, but it's all being ploughed into keyboards...

It's a little known fact that Lysol is actually an escaped android. He used to be part of the Costar assembly line until he was rescued, had facial reconstruction and a memory swap, now he spends all day guarding a giant boat (and discussing keyboards).

AFAIK the memory banks containing top secret technical keyboard data were write protected, and the men in dark glasses from Taiwan are still on the hunt for him to this day.

The man who did his memory/face transplant still lives in the other half of the ship apparently, but he is deeply mistrustful of outsiders and his quarters are heavily guarded with traps and mines.

Tell me when I've gone too far, there must be someone who still haven't played it yet...
