I'm looking at getting a new card, and was wondering which you would recommend me getting?

    Thanks

What happened to the 580? Thought you managed to fix the problem?
Out of those 2 I'd go for the 7950.

Buy a 7950 near th end of February because you'll get 3 games with it with the AMD never settle bundle.

I LOVE my 670, never had a driver issue or a minutes problem from it and its also silent more or less on the stock cooler.

That said I got mine for 240 new months ago, if I was picking up a card now with the games and recent driver improvements I would give the 7950 a punt.

I bought an MSI 7950 TF two weeks ago and its been great so far. Plays sleeping dogs on highest settings without any sort of jitters or glitches. In stress tests such as kombuster the card doesnt go above low 60's. It hit 65 and the fans ramped up a little and temp dropped back to 60. When the fans spin full on startup they make a bit of noise but the rest of the time it hasnt been audible.

I'm a proud 7950 owner and I'm really happy with it - plus, it's great value now!

MSI TF3 has 2 years warrenty over the XFX card's 1, so I'd go for that.
It's a bit odd that it would be windows 8 that would be the problem. have you tried your rig with a windows 7 install? Also check that the drivers you're using are for windows 8, not windows 7. that's more likely to cause an issue than windows 8 itself.

Heard good things about those MSI coolers.. thats all I know.

Remember, you can get a free games bundle from AMD too.. i think?

Got a 7950 last weekend, very happy with it so far (MSI twin Forzor). The never settle bundle is changing according to a post on the front page earlier, I believe bioshock infinity and Cysis 3 as well as still getting hitman/sleeping dogs and far cry 3. Might be worth a few weeks wait.

Scan has the bundle up now with Crysis 3 and Bioshock Infinite

Just realised my Motherboard can do Crossfire and not SLi.

Thats my decision definitely sorted then. Thanks guys, gonna order the MSI one when I can

Bloody annoying on scan. Bought on Friday a few hours before the deal went live. Phoned today and asked would it be possible to get the extra codes as I was only slightly outside the window. No joy. Will have to return the card and order a new one with the new bundle. =(

Grats pieface seems a good card from what I've read and the games offer is great. Going to speak to the manager at scan tomorrow to see if there is anything I can do in order to get the codes without having to return the card and reorder. Seems a big waste of time and effort on everyone's behalf to do that, but those are both games I would have bought at full price so worth trying.

I'm not so big on most of the games (Such as sleeping dogs and Bioshock) so I might just sell them on and get money back from my card.
