Wherever you got that idea from massively mis-informed you Lance - they're nowhere near as comfortable as big wafty saloons, pretty much Citroen C6 and upwards.

An Evoque is basically a Freelander with pretty make-up (assuming you like the looks, which I really do not) and so massively overpriced. Just no on so many levels...

Oh, and the looks are not classy. Class is not compatible with bling. The radiator grill can only be described in one way.

Edit: and on topic, think this series is going well, and there's some life in the ol' dogs yet.

Jemma (the missus/boss/woman/fiancee) really liked last nights episode, which means that it must be back on track as she has refused to watch the last 2 series.

Watched episodes 4 and 5 last night, and found the very enjoyable.

While I enjoyed Lewis, there are obvious holes in his laptime in that he had more practice laps than the others now...who cares. A good guest, and a great time.

The Hot Hatches were enjoyable and Clarkson's "If you want a reasonably priced fun car" comment expressed what I was thinking. Right one I ordered, then. :)

The granny mobile was funny. I loved the GPS, and was genuinely surprised the car didn't fail on more levels.
No car around the track in episode 5 though...

Not sure if that is a criticism of the Freelander, but if so, have you driven one?

I can't emphasize enough what a fantastic car they are. Aside from the 4x4 thing (but for the money, they do have a superb off road performance), just as a drive, they are utterly brilliant cars. If I didn't have the money for a RR but I was in the market for a 4x4, I wouldn't have to think more than 5 seconds about it.

No, not really, more a criticism of the Evoque as you're paying a lot more money for no more car.

I was surprised that you could get a scooby so cheap. (Im thinking Cat D repair...)

Also crying shame seeing that 850 T5R being ruined, limited number of those left now, those who own such a car in good condition are smiling as the value of theirs has just gone up.

Another awesome episode. Can't wait for Season 20, which has been confirmed, by Clarkson no less on his twitter feed.

That multicopter they used in part 2... :jawdrop: Damn the BBC and their seemingly unending supply of money. That thing, the camera, DX8 radios to control it, camera gimbal and the batteries powering it all is thousands of £££ worth of RC/UAV pr0n

    WANT.

Ironically from what I recall the BBC profit overall from Top Gear, due to it's sale to many TV networks around the world!

They do indeed. Its the most watched TV show in the world or the like.

I rewatched it on the bus this morning, a really enjoyable episode the second time around :thumb:

Just watched the Uganda / Rwanda / Tanzania 2-part episode. 2 hours of awesomeness. :D

Particularly because I went to Uganda 5 years ago and it reminded me of my trip.
