PLEASE no insults or anyone calling me stupid, even though you may have evry right to after reading this post. But... If I am C of E, am I allowed to enter a Catholic Church, a Mosque, a Synagogue, or anyother place of worship of any religion. This probably seems to be a really stupid question to most people, but no-one ever seemed to be able to answer, as I would like to experience other forms of worship if possible.
I'd be super impressed if someone had made a religion detector and it set people of other religions on fire. I mean. There have been plenty of other ridiculous inventions, why not that? They let idiot kids traipse around and generally be insensitive and thick on school trips, so they must be okay with sensible adults.
I'm an Atheist and have been in all at some point, churches, Mosques, and Synagogues. So straight answer is yes.
Although my wife (a vicar's daughter who is an atheist) jokes that she'd burst into flames as soon as she crosses the threshold, it is quite OK to enter all places of worship --as long as you take off your shoes where appropriate and observe their rules of dress. If its a Sikh temple, you may even get a free meal and a place to sleep for the night.
